Scott Sinclair; New baby arrives, and there to greet her were her mama and papa.

Regardless of who everyone thinks has been our best player this season/in general, there's no need to exaggerate by claiming said player is vastly superior to the next two or three players by a mile or whatever.

Let's just enjoy the contrast from last season, where Griffiths being injured back then would have resulted in effing Kazim-Richards or a 32 year old Carlton Cole leading the line.

Let's say hypothetically the POTY awards get handed out tonight. Sinclair wins hands down. With a couple of months still to go it's wide open (Brown Dembele and Armstrong) in the mix but my money would be on Scotty.
brown would get most awards. sinclair or dembele the one chosen by rest of players in league imo

Armstrong is in the mix as well
No, he's not.

Done well since he came back in but not on the same level as Sinclair, Dembele and Brown
He's not come back in yet...

If Armstrong keeps the form that he showed Oct-Dec up for the 2nd half of the season i'd say he is indisputably in the mix.

I'd say his wife's career was considered when the offer was made to him to move to Scotland, he still accepted it. Her work was always going to be in England, unless River City came knocking.

She was on Loose Woman (sources are telling me) saying she likes not having to be around him all the time so we should be fine.

Thought he played well yesterday without getting his goal. He was desperate to score.

One game when he's not quite as dazzling as he's been in others = off form? :hmmm:

I'm not as big a fan as some but even I can appreciate his contribution yesterday. Not at his best, most certainly not his worst ffs

Having said that, not sure about the MOTM nominations, myself, but each to their own.

I'm a huge admirer of Sinclair and actually think his presence was a greater miss than Dembele's when he was out injured. However, there's one thing that really irks me about him and it might just be something I half imagine. But has anyone else noticed that he never seems to celebrate while the rest of the team are jumping about like loonies?

In the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter a jot but ever since I noticed his lack of enthusiasm when we score it's started to really bug me. I get the impression that it really is just a job for him, whereas the vast majority of our squad absolutely love playing for us and their passion for the club shines through. He's an immense player but there seems to be a spark missing. I just want him to love us back

He was all smiles when Dembele scored his second. By the time the sixth went in, his face must've been sore.

was referring to when he came back into the side before he got injured.

Not if the others continue in the same vein of form.

He was brilliant over a 6 week period not enough to be in the mix for POTY
