We've certainly lacked that incisiveness that his play has brought to the team, not to mention his ability to score. We're still creating chances, but we seem to be wasting them - hopefully Sinclair will bring that bit of zip back to the team
Aye, would certainly like it to wake some people up. The team's been half asleep recently. Even against Aberdeen. Imagine what we could do to teams if we hit even 3rd gear...
One Deila like game against Hamilton but we still took the 3 pts.

Sheep gubbed off the park 3-0

Family Club 4-3 and excepting the first goal their other two were defensive changes causing problems.

1-1 at The Etiad

4-1 at Firhill

We are maybe not flying right now but we are not half asleep.
Based on the tempo of our play, the slack passing and poor movement, they look as if they're half asleep. That's what I'm saying. We're still beating teams playing so poorly.

Don't agree we are not setting the heather on fire but we were always going to hit these spells especially with this 9 games in a month nonsense and he is rotating his squad whilst ensuring we win.

We are not playing particularly well certainly not as well as we can.

I didn't really follow the Deila thread much but your posts re slack passing and poor movement c/w half asleep would have been much more apt and relevant then.

Brown has been playing within himself the last few games he has been on the pitch - Hopefully saving it to boss the Zombies big time

Much as I think Sinclair is our best player and if he stays injury free could well be our POTY so far I would say it is Brown.

Great to have him back. Ease him in gently so he is at his sharpest for the bigotdome and he will run riot.

There really is nothing to be concerned about.

We are approaching the winter break and players will be thinking about Christmas and their holiday knowing full well the league is pretty much wrapped up and the next important game after the new year will be a cup tie.

It's a natural slow down, there is no need to try and thrash every oponnent when you have a busy schedule either.

It's been really smart management by Rodgers in rotating the squad this last few weeks.

A 0-2 win against the Huns with Moussassin and Griffiths both scoring would be a fitting end to the year.

And yet, are still relevant now. As they were through periods of Lennon's administration... and Strachan's... etc. I'm not saying we're playing to the same level as Deila's side, far from it. We are miles better than we have been over the past couple of seasons. My point, again, is that the team looks half asleep. Although I'm aware teams go through wee down turns in form (especially when pretty much every team we play against gets 10 men behind the ball for 80 minutes), I still expect our players to be able to play a 20-yard pass without having the receiving player run backwards for it, and that's while under no pressure! We have been slack, and need to waken up.

Can't argue with the league run in terms of points, can absolutely argue with the way we've been playing recently, as Rodgers himself has pointed out.

Anyway, it being a Sinclair thread, I'm happy he's back in the side and the sooner he's back up to full speed the better.

Sinclair is our best player. It's amazing that we were able to sign him.
We can thank Villa for being a total basket case of a club the past couple of years.

Didn't think he was at his best today - seen a lot of the ball but it just didn't seem to be coming off for him. Wanted him off instead of Forrest - shows what I know! 😂
