Has and will be excellent against diddy teams in Scotland. Very average against proper teams. There is a reason he was kicking about doing nothing in England for years and ended up here where for some inexplicable* reason he started scoring and playing well again.

A good player but too much was made of his domestic performances. Celtic players can only be judged in Europe as a measure of their ability.

*not really inexplicable. It is far easier in the SPL
didn't play well last night but he was no orphan there.
The only thing I can agree with in your post is the fact he is excellent in Scotland.

One bad game and the keyboard warriors are out in force. Fair enough he had a poor game (like the other 10 players) but some of the comments here are just

Yes he was certainly not the only poor performer last night.

He has and will be excellent in Scotland but that coloured a lot of peoples judgement of how good he actually is. This was a timely realty check. Since moving to Man city over 4 years ago he scored a grand total of 3 league goals. He has scored 7 times already up here. He is a superb SPL player but he is no world beater. Hopefully he can be consistently decent when he steps up a level but I dont expect much more than that.

That is not an insult BTW. That is where we are as a team. Being consistently decent would be an improvement and heading in the right direction.

Just before the Dawn

he had a bad night. His biggest fault was conceding possession easily every time the ball was played to him out of defence, which put our back line under unnecessary pressure at times. He should have done much better from Rogic's pass at the end of the first half, but I guess when you're having one of those nights, nothing goes right.

He is a mentally weak player.
Between this and your comment in the Brendan Rodgers thread last night, you win tool of the week award hands down. Do you actually know anything about football?

If ever there was a poster deserving of a :ffs: smilie it is you - well played.

Completely disagree.

He was heavily involved in 3 of the goals v Beer Sheva at home.He played well in that game.

He was our best player away from home against them too.

He performed very well in the first half v Barca. If you remember he ran from the halfway line to create the chance that led to the penalty. He also had a very good game v Man City.

He was poor on Wednesday.

Sinclair is more than a SPFL player. He didn't get his chance at City. Villa are pish. Not many players shine for them.

Bit early to say I suppose but I think he'll clean up on POTY awards at the end of the season, injuries permitting.

It was most obvious in the 5-1 game. Before we took the lead he was dancing around filling his pants. Fine once we were ahead.

I'd be delighted to be proved wrong, when he stands up and contributes when we're seriously under pressure in a big game.

Have you something to substaciate that or did you just throw that comment into the thread only because you thought it would provoke a reaction?

Pretty much the first thing he did in a Celtic Jersey was score a vital winner at Tynecastle :ponder:
