What has Deila's spending got to do with anything?

The reference was Pistol Pete not Deila.

If you are that keen to find out and can be arsed the info is all on the Kds Wiki under "Transfers In" but it won't help that much due to the number of undisclosed fees
Maybe I misunderstood your post. What does Lawwell have to do with signing quality players? Surely the calibre of the manager is a factor in attracting talented players to the club? Or was that your point?
Lawwells' quantity over quality dogma and scattergun approach to signings has gone with Rodgers and we are now signing quality over quantity and obviously Toure and Sinclair are here because of Rodgers.

I still have no idea what your Deila spending has to do with it - The info is there if you want it - e.g Scepovic and Balde combined may have cost about as much as Sinclair - I know which option I would rather have.

A bit controversial but I think he's better as a striker, ala Henke.
Can we stop this "'x' player is better in 'y' position" pish, please?

It's brutal enough hearing that all of our central defenders hold the key to our defensive midfield woes, let's not start hypothetically tossing perfectly able wide men up front for the banter.
Exactly.

Player thrives in one position = let's move said player to another position

It's nonsense.

I don't need to look it up. My point was - money was spent during Deila's reign, quite a bit, but maybe we can only attract a quality player like Sinclair because we have a quality manager like Rodgers.

My thoughts exactly. He looked a bit like henke in first half, played through by rogic. Although henke would've chipped it over the keeper.

Was wondering that myself. If Deila had wanted Sinclair in the same circumstances and we were willing to pay the same fee would he have been willing to come here?

Same for Toure actually.

Rodgers made a great point about his overall play at Aston Villa. He is no longer playing in a team set up to defend and "gain" a point.
He is now part of an an attacking team, where the expectation is that he will spend most of his time in the opposition half. That is the sort of environment that any player would thrive in.

Player x looks as though he's more than adept through the middle, hence why folk are stating the obvious.

I think we'll need him out wide personally but it's fairly apparent Sinclair could do a job as Striker, I'd envisage we will see that now and again moving forward.

If this is what an affordable EPL level English player looks like, then why isn't the English national team better than it is, given that all their team is better than Sinclair?

He's a live-wire, and will only improve the team, even more so when he learns when to leave it for a better placed player to have a shot instead of taking it off his toes!

His AV experience will show what he's made of when our backs are against the wall.

Early days, but he looks like he'll become the name on all weans' backs.

We have a player here.

Had a good game last night, cracking pace and not afraid to take a player or four on.

I'm all for developing new young players, but we've often been fielding a team without maturity and genuine quality. Not anymore by the looks of it.
