He'll do very well for us,as he can play through the middle and in the wide areas. Will score and create.
He'll be even more of a threat on a big pitch like CP or Hampden.

Not as bad as a Broony interview, where he starts every sentence with an upper inflection. Irritating to listen to!

Or Gary Hooper's nodding head in agreement with whatever the interviewer was saying.

Comes across as an intelligent lad. Hopefully this move kicks starts his career again and Brendan gets the best out him.

Thanks for these, seems an intelligent bloke. Really glad to hear him say his focus is on his football, and that the last few years for him haven't been good.

Interesting reading that he wanted to come up as well, and told Villa as much. Reuniting with BR, and getting the right backing from the fans will hopefully ensure he has his best years with us. He should be heading into his peak now. In a few years this could look like a very smart signing indeed. If it all goes to plan, he'll be very good for us, or if it goes ridiculously well we could also realise a profit on the deal.

I never realised he scored 27 goals in Swansea's promotion season under Rodgers.

Was he played as a striker back then? Either way thats a good return but if he scored those goals from a wide area then thats phenomenal!
Brendan Rodgers was talking after the game yesterday about how when he had Sinclair in his Chelsea youth team he was a natural striker, but because guys like Drogba, Crespo and another whose name escapes me were at the club at the time he turned him into a winger, feeling it would better progress his career at the club. He retained that striker's instinct to get into the box, as we saw yesterday, and with his 27 goals at Swansea.

I think we'll see him playing as a striker from time to time, particularly if Griffiths picks up any injuries/suspensions. Saves us having to bring another striker in, and he'd probably be better in that position than most of the strikers we can afford anyway.

The signing of Sinclair shows an interesting change of tack by the money men. Spending in the region of £3.5million on a 27yo player has not been our policy in recent years. It's a clear sign of a concession the board had to make in order to get Brendan Rodgers to come here.

Personally I am delighted about this. For a few seasons now I have been an advocate of a 'quality not quantity' approach when it comes to assembling our squad. We'll be better off with two or three Scott Sinclairs in our squad than we would be with six or seven Stuart Armstrongs. That's one of the big mistakes we've been making in recent years.
