At 27 and a very healthy bank account I'm hoping he himself and BR can keep him hungry.

Winning the playoffs with Swansea in 2010-11 his only medal. Here's hoping he adds a barrel load.

Welcome to the Champion5!

Don't think he'll start today but hope he can come off the bench at some point and show us what he's all about!

I'm new. Be gentle.
Great signing for us and a real statement of our intent by signing another quality first team player. What I like most about Sinclair is that although he has great pace it's not a "knock balls over the top and let him run on to it" which would prove difficult given how deep some teams defend against us. Sinclair had genuine pace when running with the ball and that makes him and Roberts 2 of our most dangerous players. Delighted we've finally got him

Quoting limited to 3 levels deepThe EPL wealth is intrinsically linked with Sky's, whilst I agree that the EPL's popularity may never diminish, Sky's ability to adapt to a changing television market and how the general public consume it in the future may eventually have a knock on effect of the EPL's finances.

Of course then that leaves BT, but I suppose you could ask the question, if BT have the finances to compete with Sky and can buy the bulk of the EPL rights then why haven't they done it by now? They've demostrated before that they have the financial muscle to not only compete with Sky, but overpower them too.
Going wildly off-topic but I'd say it no longer is and the changing television market you mention is the reason why. Like it or not the EPL is, by far, the biggest brand in football and if Sky went under Amazon, Twitter and the hoards of 'new media' providers would be queuing up to get involved.
No they won't. They're doing fine without sport and they would have to pay such a huge fee for rights to show something in a market they're pretty much well established in. Netflix and Amazon won't go anywhere near live sport.

Twitter already have a deal to stream NFL games for $1m a game. Facebook Live is being used to stream sports and they've said they want to go after Twitters NFL rights the first time the bidding is taken public. If you think Twitter, Facebook etc. aren't the sports broadcasters of the future you're not paying attention  Sport is the only thing left that people have to watch live and that's why is the #1 attraction for broadcasters.

Anyway, welcome Scott

I think SS will tear up teams in Scotland. Fantastic signing for us.
Showed the form in Europe, but came a bit unstuck in Russia. :ph43r:

I'd argue that it's actually more the NFL experimenting as ways to distribute their product than Twitter and Facebook becoming involved with live sports broadcasting.

Petty details I know but it's nice to see a forward/winger wearing no11 and not some ludicrous squad number. Thinking about it, has the 11 not been a bit jinxed since we went to squad numbers? I know big Wieghorst wore it for a while and latterly it hung up on the back of the physio door with Boerrghter on it.

Just checked - Hartley and Pearson the two main names along with luminaries like Cha, Lassad and Diomansy Kamara.
Collins them cadete the last good ones who wore it with style.

Who had it under MON?

Good signing that appears to have taken a LONG time to get across the line.

To those congratulating the board, you're wrong, they are doing the bare minimum this season given their actions over the past 4 seasons.

Almost certain we didn’t have anyone wearing #11 during the Seville season. Wieghorst and Pearson would have both worn it under MON despite not really being associated with his tenure.

Languid Genius

I remember him being the outstanding player on the park at Wembley when Swansea beat Reading in the play-off final.

That was more than five years ago. I hope Rodgers can tease out whatever he's got left.

The board can take plenty criticism in the past, deservedly so.

I believe the delays this time are purely down to trying to get the players we want, given the quality of them it's proving more difficult. Regardless, trust Rodgers to make them get the players he wants.

Feeling really positive about the direction we're going in at the moment.

Anyone think if sevco had won yesterday, we'd have announced him last night?
Thus keeping them off the back pages ever so slightly?
A wee subtle PR move to halt any momentum just like appointing Rodgers the night before their cup final.
I could be way off the mark but it makes you think.
your correct , you are way off the mark

We didn't. Wieghorst left at end of MON's second season. Pearson arrived half way through his fourth. Seville was his third. Probably would have gone to Kleberson had we qualified for CL and signed him.
