Can't see Scott being shipped out this summer. He deserves another season to see if he can regain early form. Another like last, then I guess its time up.

Worryingly, I don't think I've ever seen such a dramatic decline in 12 months in a Celtic player. Star of the team to supporter whipping boy. Read somewhere this was his pattern at previous clubs. If so, he'll be out the door in January/next summer for £3-4m.

Hope not, as he's a real force when playing well.
I seem to remember the same sort of thing happening to Izzy and Lee Naylor, once they won POTY their form nose-dived.
Na, neither were the stars of the team.

And Izzaguirre's decline from his exceptional form was due to a serious ankle injury and he got to a good level after. Naylor was always average to good. No more than that.
Forgot about Izzy's injury, tbh.

It makes me question his mental well being.
Mentally weak.
That hair speaks volumes. Hiding behind the appearance of a vicious honey badger suggests low self esteem and a yearning for chutzpah. I wouldn't be surprised if he wore a black leather jacket with the collar turned up.

Was fuming with him at times last season but I'm starting to think that with his family all settled back in etc., we're going to see him back to his best next year.

With Morgan and hopefully Johnstone waiting for their chance if he and/or Forrest slip up, I hope it gives him a boost.

Mate, if it got me in with Helen Flanagan I'd happily add half a tub of Brylcream and the Fonze thumbs to that ensemble and wear them without any shame whatsoever.

Wish him the best of luck for the coming season, spoke well in the papers yesterday.

He spoke well in the papers earlier in the year as well and how happy he was at Celtic and loving life in Glasgow and recognising how his performances hadnt matched last years. He performed even worse after that.

Such an odd compliment “he spoke well” it means absolutely nothing. I remember my former area managers used to say it a lot discussing new employees too. Englishman in ability to speak shocker!!

Sometimes I ask myself how many of those ridiculing family issues as a factor affecting working life are parents themselves; regardless of your profession, your family comes first... above all.
Yeah life can be a bitch but you just have to get your shampoo together and get on with it..no?

The guy plays football for a living.

If he puts in a passable effort at training, which I assume he does,he only really needs to get his shampoo together for a max of three hours a week.

If he's on the pitch and can't beat a man because he's not on it because his missus ain't great, his mate died recently or his pal Stu ain't in the team he should put his hands up and say this ain't for me.

We could all sit here swap tales of woe about how shampoo our lives have been but very few of our employers/customers would give a shampoo.

He is paid handsomely,he is under performing and his private life is his problem.

This may come across as harsh but people in low paid jobs would get their baws rattled if they just dipped out at work, but sympathy should be extended to guy who gets paid over a million quid a year to do something thay love?

I'm sorry life don't work like that, not in my world anyway.
People in jobs in other walks of life do get time off/support etc for things affecting them into their personal life.

But as he said several times himself, he's very happy at Celtic and in Scotland.

His 'psychiatric needs' seem to have been ascribed to him by people who I'm guessing have never said a word to him or listened to what he's said.
Spot on. Some amount of psychology and/or body language experts in the Celtic family.

His micro-expressions in recent interviews suggest a good season this year for Scotty.

If we move to 3-5-2 then it is not obvious where he would play. Might see him as WB against weaker teams.

Harry Kane speaks like me trying to order a kebab, in Flemish, at the end of a stag weekend after I’ve lost my teeth. I know who I’d rather have playing for Celtic.

we change formations during matches so off the bench we would probably revert to our old formation and him playing on the wing with kt dropping deeper

he has good link up play with moussa so him in a two upfront might work as well
