Our top earner is now a waste of a sub. This cannot continue.

There any carrot you want us to keep?
Yes, plenty of them. Most of them, we're about to lose though.

Sinclair, Christie, Allan, Cifcti, Lustig, Boyata, Simunovic, Sviatchenko, Armstrong can all go as far as I'm concerned.

Much work to be done.

We shouldn't be so quick to get rid of Sinclair.

He is our top goalscorer with 18 goals despite having a poor season.

He also has 15 assists.

He will kick on again next year.
He will kick on based on what?

He has been honking since the start of October.

I know you live abroad and can't attend matches but if you had seen him in the flesh a few times this season I think your opinion would be different.
I did manage to see him v Morton. He was rotten that day.

I think he will kick on again as he has 18 goals and assists in a season were he's been poor.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
He isn't anywhere near his best but I disagree that he has been a waste of a jersey for six months.

Since the turn of the year he has started ten games and came off the bench 7 times.

In that period he has scored 3 goals and assisted 5.

Admittedly it could be much better.

Also I would argue that it's a myth that we have persisted with Sinclair despite lack of form.

The only game he started this year that could be consider a crunch match was v Aberdeen away.

He has been left out v Rangers three times (one match he didnt even play). He didn't start v Zenit at home or away (he didn't come on in the home game).

He has to force himself back into our starting line up. He will once he regains his form and confidence.
His performances at the beginning of the season went a long way to us qualifying for the CL.

Big goal in Astana, sealed the win in Belgium. 18 goals and 15 assists.

He's not been great, but still made a big contribution this season.

Probably the most disappointing factor this season has been Sinclair's form. Can't remember a player having such a drastic nosedive in performance levels from one season to the next.

He makes life hard for himself. Constantly stops the ball dead when he receives it and faces up the defender.

I'm not trying to knock Sinc - but isn't he just the kind of player who relies a lot on others to work him into the game?
Has he ever been known as a guy who destroys defences by himself?
I'm not sure - but he seems a bit one dimensional to me - a wee bit predictable - but does have a decent turn of pace which can get him beyond his man at times (as long as he doesn't run into his opposite number).
That pace can be handy in europe, but domestically, can be blunted against a deep defence.
This is where Paddy Roberts for me would def help us secure titles going forward, as he can make things happen.
Sinc just isn't that kind of player - and at least for me - can go missing a lot.

'Sinky' is bad enough but 'sinc', come on.

Obviously the fact that he's our top scorer shouldn't be forgotten. But are folk using that defence honestly trying to say his performances have been good enough since the turn of the year? Does he currently make us better or worse as a team when he's on the park?

He had a great spell during the first few months of the season and has been invisible since. The fact that he's top scorer with 18 (10 in the league) just shows that we've struggled to score enough goals as a team, resulting in the huns outscoring us in the league this year. Not helped by two of our strikers being riddled with inconsistency and injury throughout the season. I think he deserves a chance to turn it around, but you can't really spin this as a good season for him or suggest we have nothing to worry about based off this rather misleading stat.

He has been defended against better. Not allowed to pull inside. He has nothing else in the locker.

Him being top scorer is more down to injuries to others than an indication of how he's played this season. He's made 50 odd appearances while Dembele and Griffiths only 30 odd. That isn't to detract from his early season form where he was scoring goals, playing well and helping us win games. It's just that on it's own the "but he's top scorer..." argument is misleading.

That and our attack has been toothless too often this season as well.

interesting as he has 2 yrs remaining come end of this season. I personally think he should stay, I think he can rediscover his good form, hes experienced and still has quality. on a similar note, not as if we will be getting crazy offers for him (I wouldn't think) due to his poor form 2nd half of the season and the negative connotation of playing in Scotland

Give him a proper rest over the summer and the hopefully, with the right competition, he'll kick on and get back to himself next year.

I don't think he needs a rest. He's been a sub for the latter part of the season.

I hope he uses the summer to figure out why he's gone from POTY to regularly pish and sometimes woeful.

In last Sunday's game he failed to pass the ball to a man in hoops over 5 yards on a few occasions.

Went down on one knee too easily.

Flannigan barely touched him.
