McGregor has found his place in the team, I know he can play all over the pitch - but he really adds something on that right wing.
Better than Armstrong did & better than Sinclair of this season.

With Morgan coming in, we'll not really miss the Sinclair of this season, which is all we can judge him on, last seasons highs were a very long time ago now.

Punt.

I think his form last season combined with the fact that he's our top scorer so far this season, despite not hitting the heights, earns him a bit more time. However it really has been pretty dire since the winter break.

We saw the momentum disappear from our attack when he came on on Sunday and not for the first time. Too often in this second half of the season we're seeing him jittering on the edge of the box and giving their defence time to regroup rather than driving in. Last season he would just cut inside in those situations, before bending one into the far corner. But an obvious dip in confidence means we're not seeing much of that either.

Like you say we'll have more competition for him next season and McGregor has solidified himself as a great option out there too. I'd give him until January and see where things are at, but if it's more of the same then he should be sold by then.

As said, Paddy would have caused a riot and we'd have won about 7-0. Sinclair just fell on his arse.
He didn't really just fall on his arse.

People have their mind made up about Sinclair and see what they want to see. If he signs a new deal, a couple of bad games from Rogic and people will be saying he hasn't done anything since landing his big shiny contract.

Paddy is being kept out of the team by James Forrest. I like Paddy, I'd have liked to have seen him getting a run, but Forrest had a very good game. So unless you're bringing Paddy on for Lustig, it wasn't going to happen on Sunday.
Agreed.

Those times he fell on his arse he was fouled.

This is a guy who might hit 20 goals before the season out and people are wanting him sold.

He will be back next season.

I hope he's lying down reading this.

Actually I won't have to use up any hope for that. Has he gone yet? :coffee:

I can tell you with a certain degree of certainty that if in every instance a foul was given against us if an opposing player went over like Sinclair has, certainly in past few cameos he's had, we would be ragin. He is lightweight and his head's all over the place. If he doesn't sort himself out before preseason he should be punted. There are kids who can and will take his place if he doesn't regain form.

I think he will be back to his best soon.

We still have three league games to go & a cup final.

A couple of goals would do him the World of good.

He scored a couple of goals at Easter Rd and it did nothing. He came on in a game where we were 5-0 up and still didn't have the confidence to beat his man - and it's not like he was against Kimmich. I would love to see him regain some form and go into the break with confidence, I just don't see it.

I'm a big fan and still think he has a part to play next season.

Rodgers said pre-season not to expect the same levels from Sinclair as last season due to the number of games he played and mental fatigue. Granted, I don't think Rodgers could have predicted just how poor he'd be since the new year.

He needs a good start though because if his form doesn't improve then nobody can really make a case for not punting him given his high wages.

Neither Armstrong or Sinclair have played on the right wing for us so I assume you meant to say the left?

McGregor has looked good on the left in the last couple of Sevco games.

Morgan is completely unproven at this level and until he shows he’s capable we should hold on to Sinclair. Needs to buck up his ideas and find his form again. The Sinclair of last season could still be a huge asset for us.

Excellent strategy.

From now on, every January, sell our top scorer.

Kris Commons first full season with us yielded a thumping one goal, he was a disaster, he followed that up with 19 goals and then 32 goals, a crucial element of the side.
Sinclair has been poor since basically the League Cup final, but to say punt is just knee jerk nonsence, for the first four months he was excellent, carrying on his form from the previous season.
Let's see what next season has to offer.

On a personal level I understand why Brendan brought on Sinclair yesterday, but on a footballing level I think it would as the wrong decision. He barely contributed anything. If Paddy had come on, running at that defence, I think we’d have been looking at 6 or 7 nil.
Paddy was coming on - Getting ready and then Lustig had to come off and Hendry was on instead.

I do think there is a good chance we would have got the seven if he had come on.

That is not what I said and you know it.
Why can't you just accept that he isn't very good and not up to the required standard?

I would be happy to see him go for nowt just to get him out of KTs road,

Who in their right mind would buy him given his form this year?
