Don't have any doubt Scott will be back on song & great to hear this nonsense being put to bed.

Together with Armstrong, Tam, Paddy, Thumb all coming back from injury, this will see us right for the closing stages of the double treble.

Why is there an obsession to sell our best players. And on the cheap :o

"He's not worth that (£8 million) even in the premier league" is up there with the daftest about. Some roasters on here indeed.
No obsession to sell from me.All I'm saying is I can't see Sinclair hitting the heights of last season again and this time next year we will definitely not recoup 4 million for a 30 year old.If the money helps us pay for a quality rb cb or keeper I would be happy enough with that.
Why not keep him for the next 3 or 4 years and add quality beside him?
I'd be happy enough with that if it means we still spend in key areas.Though recent history has shown we prefer to trim before we buy and for me if Sinclair can be sold and it helps us bring the quality needed defensively he is 1 I would be happy to sacrifice before some of the other midfielders.Dont get me wrong I would obviously like to see the likes of bitton and Hayes trimmed from the squad before Sinclair but a decent offer for them is unlikely and at 29 I think this is our best chance to sell.

Fair enough m8 but I disagree. If we can get him back close to last seasons form we have a real asset on our hands and real quality.

I thought his head was somewhere else and he was wanting a move back down the road but I am very happy he has came out and said that and despite being off form he has still contributed massively and would have been hard to replace.

Another negative celtic story put straight, many more will follow as the media goes into overdrive to try and rock the boat, what they should be doing is digging into sevcos financial state but that would be real journalism and the establishment wouldn't be happy.

We were lucky to get a player of his quality in and hopefully he can rediscover his form. Very happy the media have been slapped down on this story. Should call them out and ask them where they got their information from. Tossers.

The media have tried to undermine our team at every turn possible. Dembele played his last game according to some before the January transfer window. Rodgers is going to the EPL every other week. Sinclair wants away. Brown wants to finish his career at Hibs. Gordon off to Chelsea.

Been non stop pish from them.

Sinclair has been brilliant for us but if we can get what we paid off a Bournemouth or Brighton I think it could be time to cash in.His talent is unquestionable but due to age the position he's competing for and the size of our squad letting him go may not be a bad thing.
No chance.

He loves it here, he’s a great player and he will hit top form again.
He may well do but at 29 can you see him hitting the heights of last season again.Added to the fact we are desperate to strengthen in other ares if the right offer came in I wouldn't mind us cashing in.
At 29 he should be entering his peak years, not declining. I'd point to guys like Lennon, Larsson, and Brown whom we've had that got better the other side of 30. Experience is needed in our side, its often what makes good players great. Scott has been a great signing and won't be easily replaced, no way he should be rushed out the door if he's happy to stay, certainly not because he's supposedly too old in his twenties ffs.

We get to see so few of our best players stay into their peak years, even hold on to them for more than two seasons yet folk want to keep cashing in, to what end? we've been fortunate to land Scott initially and he sounds eager to get back to his best. I hope he stays for a few years yet.

It's probably fair to say a player like Sinclair will never have faced a schedule like ours over the past few seasons

With barely any summer break last year, he's probably completely burnt out now and in need of a rest, which he's been getting since the turn of the year

I'd hope and expect by the time he has a bit less game time now and then through the summer he'll be back near his best next season

There's no way I'd be selling a player as effective and prolific as he was last season and at the start of this one

And btw this is a problem we need to look out for with several other players who we rely on to play the majority of games, tierney for one

We've practically had back to back seasons as BR has pointed out....some players lose form after being at a World Cup because they haven't had a break, we've had a harder time....our boys have done well under the circumstances, some wayward form but still on for the double treble...

Kept going inside. There was an acre of space on the outside. When he eventually took on his man and got to the byline he won the penalty. Decent showing.

Penalty aside, he went to ground very easily yesterday and got nothing for it.
