If the chance of a move back to the English top flight transpires I think he would want to take it. I do think the "one season wonder" narrative has a grain of truth to it unfortunately. I think an offer in the region of £8m would be accepted.
He has 17 goals and 15 assists. I think it is very unfair to call him a one season wonder.

On reflection it probably is but it is a fact that after a good start at almost all his many clubs his performances gradually tail off.

Mental isn't it. Form hasn't been great but he's had decent input into the season.

Been a suggestion that our lack of a proper close season is what affecting us now. Too many players injured and off form for this not to be a factor.

Can't see this coming close season being any better.

Last year we were going for the unbeaten league record. If we get the league clinched with a few games to go i'd be looking for a few players to get a good bit of rest in before (hopefully) the cup final.

But it’s also unfair to suggest he’s played well this season - genuinely

His goals at the start of the campaign were vital as were his assists but the vast majority of this season he has been poor

Most fans want to see him do as well as he did last season. But 8 million might make ye stop and think at least

He's not worth £8 million, even for an EPL team.

That headlines been coming.

Loss of form, pregnant actress mrs possibly not staying with him in glasgow, out the team and then the airport incident. Practically writes itself. I don't think he was ever going to be here for 4/5 years anyway.

Playing most of his career south of the border he hasn’t really had to deal with any sort of shampoo. A year and a half in Scotland and a Rangers fan makes a monkey gesture at him at Ibrox, the racist banner directed at him in Belfast by Linfield/Rangers fans and now this. With a young family and a new baby on the way it’s easy to see why he looks off colour. He seems like a quiet family man away from football and I wouldn’t hold it against him if he decided to leave in the summer purely to get away from it all.
A 10m fee and parting shot condemning the racism and bigotry he’s endured in “ the greatest wee country in the world” (take the o out of country that would suffice ) would do me.Ive felt watching him this season there’s something amiss and yr post more or less summed up it up for me

What an astonishing thread. 17 goals and 15 assists and folk are wanting to see the back of him. Of those goals - crucial goals v Astana and Anderlecht. He had a sensational first season and an explosive start to this season. Like the rest of the team looked a little jaded but I put this down to the injury list which hasn't allowed us to rotate players as much as we would have liked. Yet he's still played 45 games.

The guy is a model professional - which reminds me of him at Motherwell the other week. He was out early in the first half warming up along with Roberts and someone else (can't recall). Once finished he went back to the dug-out. Compper, Musonda (and maybe Lustig) went round to warm up. Now their warm-up wasn't as intense in fact it was almost like weans doing a few stretches for the sake of it. Sinclair must have been sent round as he told them to up the intensity - and strangely Compper was told to go back to the bench. Sinclair then went through another intense session showing them how it was done.

Sinclair is exactly the type of player on the field I'd rather see at Celtic. Quite often he's been double tagged this season and yet every time he gets the ball he's likely to create something. FWIW Tierney has also looked a little jaded this season and this is having an impact on our creativity down the left, IMO. The return of Roberts will also see teams needing to think about Celtic attacking from other angles and this will open up space for Sinclair.

Personally I'd rather keep the quality players like Sinclair. Still if he's getting it in the neck then that probably means Forrest (who also receives the same criticism from the KDS championship manager brigade) must be getting it easy.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that he could want to move back to England. On the pitch his won everything in Scotland, off the pitch his family live in England and he may well want to get out of Glasgow.

I disagree with the KT part, the opposite is true. Tierney has looked more comfortable when Sinclair is not in the team this season.

Last season they struck up a great partnership but it hasn't worked half as well this season

I'd love to keep Sinclair if he can get back to some form. How long do you stick by someone ? The manager had left him out recently that says a lot to me.

If we can get >4M for a 29 year-old we should sell him as its good business, we've got a left sided player coming from st mirren in the summer and the boy deserves a chance

Fair enough mate. If you think a boy from St Mirren (to be honest I've not seen much of the lad) deserves a chance in the Champions League qualifiers then go for it. I suppose along with this lad we also have Johnny Hayes who can play on the left if required.

Good business in my mind is retaining good quality players who have experience of delivering in our most important games. Sinclair only got the 3 goals v Astana and the one versus Anderlecht. These two games were our most important of the season.

Yes Brendan has left him out recently. He's only played him 45 games which says a lot to me.

Yeah there's no way we'd sell Sinclair to make way for Morgan but if the player isn't happy, then it's best to move him on but we'll need to sign a replacement asap.
