Has lost his starting spot, even if he was on form when we end up in high intensity games he tends to go awol.
bench for the next few games

Id start him against the huns. He just needs a good game to get the confidence back.
Risking a negative result at our nearest rivals is not the game for him to get in his first good game in 3/4 months.

He shouldn’t start.
Exactly. He had the proper chance to get his confidence back against Morton but he spurned it. He has returned from the winter break direr than he went into it.
He didn't really. He got 45 mins. Could have subbed most of our players. Im not saying he's in form.

Sinclair is playing a different role from what he did last season.

It doesn’t suit him, his confidence has suffered as a result.

Why do you want to play players not in form? That's just stupid.

This is a very important game.

He's playing far more central/narrow than he did last season IMO.

Not sure if it's a result of this 3 at the back we're playing and using KT all the way up the left but I find him infield most of the time.

I wonder if anything has changed in the way the team plays which is holding Sinclair back.

[I've completely forgotten the names because it was so long ago so forgive me on this; But the jist remains the same]

I remember a few years ago reading an interview with Thierry Henry. He said that in the season Cesc Fabregas made his break through he had an absolutely appalling season. He was used to timing his runs and movements off of Silva's game. They both had a great understanding of when to run, when to released etc but when Cesc came into the team, he didn't have that. He would hold onto the ball a beat or two longer, he would run forward when Silva would previously release, that kind of thing.

I wonder if this has what's happened this season with Sinclair. I wonder if previously, playing with other squad members benefited his game more. Particularly Roberts who set up hatfuls of goals for Sinclair, Dembele too.

Would normally have him in the side even when off the boil as he was always good for a goal or an assist if nothing else.

Now, he's a passenger even against the likes of Morton. Eduoard should have his jersey on Sunday.

I think this will be a game for Eddie. If he plays I can see him scoring more than one.

I think that was the case for a lot of last season as well.

He's just playing very poorly and even more worrying the actual end product has dried up as well.

Reminds me very much of Kris Commons second season.

That's maybe an excuse for half a dozen games or so, but Sinclair's had plenty of time to adapt to any change of personnel or tactics.

The fundamentals of his game have just gone - he was great for a season driving in to the box, beating his man and shooting at the first opportunity - all of which was done with confidence. Now he just doesn't seem to want to know - he seems to turn back and offload the ball to his nearest team mate rather than trying to beat a defender and his shooting has become hesitant and weak even when he does find himself in space. Either his confidence has gone or he simply doesn't want to be here any more. Either way he really doesn't merit a starting place right now.

Shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11 at the minute, we're as good as a man down when he starts

If Sinclair starts at the weekend and we fail to win the match, then he (Sinclair) is where the frustration will be directed.

Brendan needs to start with Edouard and Moussa

Also, he and KT linked up brilliantly last year. This year it's as if they've never trained together.

This is where a manager shows he certainly knows a lot more than the average joe and I've a feeling he'll start with Sinclair.

Lost his hawmaws recently. Needs to find them or grow new ones.

Still a effing brilliant player, and I wouldn't mind seeing him start at Ibrox despite acknowledging he hasn't done enough to 'deserve' the start recently, doesn't change the fact he's a great player.

I'd prefer Edouard to get a starting slot than Sinclair if that was the choice for the huns match.

Starting Sinclair this weekend would be as foolhardy as not starting Ntcham in a the December game.
