I heard mcgregor had a bad game the other week cause he doesn’t like his new car - can’t focus (car pun)

Lustig got a new boiler fitted and it’s playing up - he all over the place

Jozo’s missus can’t decide between a Smeg Fridge or a big Samsung one - it’s messing with his head

Absurd I know but the lengths people go to to excuse Sinclair is something else - I’m not being dismissive of any pregnancy either - If it’s a concern - tell your manager and I’m sure he’d put that first - I’m certain BR would

The straw clutching is strong here...agree with you.

He is playing pish and utterly devoid of confidence to even take a man on at Celtic Park.

Thats football. He does have previous for goung MIA at clubs after good few months or a season.

Great season last year but unless he gets his finger oot pronto its :Bye:

He's an 18 month man - he'll likely move on at the end of the season and go to a lower table EPL or championship team in the north of England

I'm new. Be gentle.
If his head's not in the right place cos his girlfriend's having a hard pregnancy then fair do's. He should be speaking to Rodgers about it or Rodgers should be noticing and giving him a break. He should stop starting him as we're effectively starting a man down. At least if he's no starting there's less chance of him being slated all over social media, knocking his confidence even more.

Id start him against the huns. He just needs a good game to get the confidence back.

Risking a negative result at our nearest rivals is not the game for him to get in his first good game in 3/4 months.

He shouldn’t start.

He has experience of scoring and impacting on these games. Got sacrificed today for not being able to get through a packed defence. We'll have chances to run at fewer players against the huns. Fair enough he's not having the season he had last year but very few of our players are.

Yes, that's it. You've figured it out.

Well done you.

Tube.
It's a reasonable suggestion. It's typical for world cup teams to ban shagging during the tournament too.

He's trying for a baby right now. His missus hasn't moved up here either I believe. His head migjt5 be in other places right now.

The reality is he's not the same player as last season and it's not down to injury otherwise he wouldn't be playing.

Anytime. I like when people call me names. :ph43r:
Aw naw.

I thought you were joking as well, and JTB was being harsh cos he’d missed the joke.

His goals early on in the season were masking a slump in form. Last season he was playing with freedom. He was taking people on and creating chances as well as his goals. He looks like a different player - afraid to try things. He is playing with fear. I recall taking a lot of stick for saying he 'hid' against Bayern. He absolutely did - and it has now festered into his domestic performances too. Should be nowhere near the starting team next week and I don't think he will be.
I fully agree with you Murphio.
He did hide against Bayern and is guilty of numerous errors before and since.
Unfortunately, some folk are in total denial and predictably resort to name calling when they are confronted with the evidence.
The truth of the matter is that Scott Sinclair is simply not good enough to play for Celtic.
To be subbed at half-time versus Morton (unless injured or a teammate has been sent off), should alert people to that.

He IS good enough imo. Just not at the moment. In poor form. Hopefully can turn it round.

Needs “rested” for a few games. He’d have been given a run in the reserves in the old days.

Awful today. I can’t think of a time where there’s been such a contrast in form of any player. He’s almost scared to take on players now and some of the passing was just mental. Hope he turns this round but dint know wtf is up with him.

Exactly. He had the proper chance to get his confidence back against Morton but he spurned it. He has returned from the winter break direr than he went into it.

He’s also playing very central these days.
He's being asked to and it's not working. When I saw today's line up I assumed it was a 4-2-3-1 but we went with wing backs and it worked, if we stick with that formation then there's no place for Sinclair. Doesn't suit him or the team.

Yip, no doubt he's not been in great form but he's often out of position. Rodgers appears to want Tierney bombing down the line and it's to the detriment of Sinclair imo.

He was rested (or didn't start at least) in our 2 games against zenit. Doesn't seem to have helped much.

Not sure I buy the family stuff either although none of us really know, but he only works a few hours a day. He should be able to manage things.

Whether he is the impetus of it or if its a coaching issue, he needs to develope his game to play against the defences we're faced with.

He can come off the bench and be a hero, we all know his talent and a game versus them is the place to show it.

Playing Devil's Advocate here - I wonder if he thought coming up here and playing under BR would get him back on track and then a move back down south at the end of the season, hasn't happened so maybe that's why he is a pale shadow of the player who ripped it up big style least season ? Kind of player who was almost guaranteed to play well and score in the big games.
His goalscoring record this season is still great, but his general play is poor at times. Doesn't look happy.
No so sure the goals argument still stands up though....2 goals in his last fourteen appearances...and those were a penalty against Thistle and a goal against Brechin.

He simply isn't delivering enough to justify a place in the team. The only logical conclusion I can make is that Rodgers thinks we can afford to carry him as a passenger for most of the season in the hope it suddenly clicks for him again.
