Looks bored this season. If he doesn't show better form I'd punt him at the end of the season. Maybe replace him with Killie's Jones.

Would like to see the Sinclair of last year return though.

16 goals & 15 assists.

He hasn't been as explosive as last season but selling him would be madness.
We'd be replacing him with Jordan Jones though?

There's more to suggest that Sinclair's purple patch last season was temporary and he's resorted to type this season.

"Sinclair always had 2 or 3 round him"
"Musonda always had 2 or 3 round him"
"Tierney always had 2 or 3 round him"

Is our movement and passing really so bad that we can't use all that extra space?
Extra space? Did you see the size of the pitch? It was tiny. A very small pitch and a well drilled team all sitting in looking to break. There was no space.
Killie managed to find quite a lot of space on several occasions.

I'm sorry but our players and management team are paid enough to be able to outsmart a team consisting of rory McKenzie, Kris Boyd, Gordon Greer and Kirk broadfoot.

Let's just call a spade a spade performances haven't been good enough this season so far and the players and management team need to sort it out.
Indeed. Gordon Greer was poor at 27 never mind 37 😂

Including loans Scott has played for 14 clubs in his career so far including Chelsea and Man City where he was almost permanently loaned out. Big clubs have seen something in him but he hasn't delivered consistently.

If you look at the attributes he posses, how clinical he can be and his ability to pop in big games for us, you can see why teams take a punt on him.

There's something mentally that just means he fizzles out. Maybe he's getting marked out the game.

He's off the boil for certain.

It's all relative. We are not in the EPL. If Sinclair was a chamionship player we'd signed this season I guarantee everyone would be singing his praises. And if he was consistantly as good as he can be he'd be away.

I think Sinclair has regressed to the mean. In other words, it's possible for something to show extreme levels of performance in the first instance but dip back to where it's at normally in the second instance. Yes, his goal and assists stats have been strong but his level of performance is nowhere near the same level. It's been mentioned that he's been signed by Chelsea and Man City so there must be something about him. Surely the issue is that he didn't succeed at either club?

This is a long-winded way of saying I'm not convinced he'll hit last season's heights again.

If Scott Sinclair is "clinical" he should have had 100 goals for Celtic already.

He has a fantastic scoring record but he's one of the worst I've ever seen at putting away easy chances. He's missed some unbelievable opportunities since coming up here.

The 2-1 game at Ibrox was some of the worst finishing I've ever seen. And he nearly effed up the goal, which was about his 4th hardest chance of the game.

Scores a few domestically in a "big games" let down in Europe usually as well.

He'd be ahead of Griffiths on goals scored if he finished his chances.

Scott Sinclair hasn’t been performing to his usual standards for a while now. There are various factors as to why - the main one being defenders are now wise to him and show him the line to stop him cutting in which is when he’s at his most dangerous. Despite his undisputed poorer form, his stats are still impressive both with goals and assists. If he’s still contributing so well whilst hes off the boil then imagine how good he’ll be when he starts to play his best.

There are some mentalists on this thread - sell and replace him with Jordan Jones :ffs: read it all now.

Sinclair is cannon fodder on here.

Even in the games he’s supposedly pish, he still goes past his man and creates chances for others.

As good as Forrest has been this season, I’d be willing to bet that’s Sinclair has gone past his man more times than Forrest has, created and scored more, yet, he’s pish, nae confidence, found out etc

That’s a bit of a contrast when you compare the feedback about their performances.

Fans take it for granted that Sinclair will go past his man and produce, whereas If Jamesy beats his man it’s well remembered as it’s so rare. Sinclair is being compared to last season which is unfair. Teams are doubling up on him too.

He’s not been great but he’s been nowhere near as bad as he’s made out

Agree about the sitters though, feckin useless from 6 yards

He hasn't been as explosive as last season but he has still made a massive contribution.

He is 3 goals off 20 for the season and he isn't firing on all cylinders.

It's ludicrous to suggest, Sinclair has reverted to type.
