The dilemma for us is that Sinclair, at his best, is miles better than most other plausible options we could have in that role - both in terms of players already at the club and potential new recruits.

Would be more confident if fans weren't on his case 24-7,the abuse he got today was shocking. That goes for the whole team, you would have thought we were losing with the amount screaming going on in the stands.
That’s just not true

His playing crap is nothing to do with the noise from the stands

Eff sake his name is sung at every game

Was heartless today - we will put up with a lot from players here but heartless stuff like today just isn’t acceptable
Yes it does.

He clearly does not want to make mistakes as he knows the abuse he will get forcing him to make the easy pass the majority of the time.It actually feels like some people can't wait for him to make a mistake to they can give him abuse
Id be disappointed if that's the case. He's playing for Celtic he needs to be mentally stronger. Doesn't excuse his pulling out of challenges and not tracking back tbf.

Agreed. If Sinclair was at his best consistently he would be worth 100 million and playing in the EPL. He is a cracking player. It's only because he fails to reach the heights for periods that we are lucky enough to have him.

We need more from him he frustrates me as I know he's a top player but hasn't been showing it anywhere near enough this season.

Hopefully get back to his best again soon.

If I was Rodgers I'd give Sinclair an extra week off, tell him now that he won't be involved in the Brechin or Partick games.

Hopefully the extended break will do Scotty the world of good.

Yeah, let's allow him to pick and choose the games he fancies to play in as well.

And we'll also refer to him as your majesty.

Pampering bollocks.

People should also take into consideration that this guy amongst most of the squad gets more time off because he's nowhere near good enough for his national side.

Boy doesn't need a break. He needs a visit to the wizard of Oz alongside the Lion.

Correct. I'm not expecting him to go into tackles like Brown. But I fully expect him to not crap his pants. That chance in the first half when he should wallop it in the net was the worst. He missed it because he didn't want to take a kick.

Less said about his pass back into his own box and allowing Tavernier waltz past him at any opportunity without a hint of a challenge the better.

He's much much better than this.

Indeed. That trumpet tavernier had the run of our whole left side. One point ran from his own half to our by line with the ball at his feet before crossing. Think it was one boyata nearly put in his own net.

Look at naka as an example, he got pelters for being lightweight but he wasnt there to tackle. He would at least rub his heart out, close angles, and track runners. Id love him in this team. OT i know.

He's increasingly struggling to take on and beat SPFL level defenders and has now missed a catalogue of sitters. It's concerning.

I am not sure if he missed that chance because he didn't want to take a kick. He simply took his eye off the ball.

He gets brought down every week and is on the end of hard tackle after hard tackle but keeps going. He has never been good defensively.

I don't accept that he is a coward as he missed a couple of chances. A coward doesn't do what he did v Astana. A coward doesn't do what he does v Anderlecht away. A coward doesn't step up to smash that penalty in v Motherwell with our unbeaten record on the line. A coward doesn't get racially abused & not go into hiding.

Scott Sinclair is many things. A coward isn't one of them.

He absolutely missed that chance yesterday because he didn't want to get a boot. That's not to mention the several times yesterday when he shirked responsibility in tackles, and made cowardly choices with and without the ball. I'll not even mention the positions he takes up at throw ins.

He's a very good player. And I'm completely comfortable with acknowledging he's done many more positive things, you've listed them above , than negative in his time at Celtic.

Yesterday was a disgraceful, cowardly performance. From our top player, /earner it deserves commented on.

He's not the man for a battle. Brilliant player on his day, Yesterday, like many days this season was not one of those days.
