I've no problem with guys being off form. It happens to lots of players.

I've a real problem with a boy being a consistent and utter shampooebag when it comes to chances of putting a ball in a net but might get hurt/ shirking a challenge/ pulling out of challenges/ and passing back into danger for no reason.
Correct. Personal issues and a lack of form simply dont excuse chickening out of tackles. He bottled that chance today simply because he was scared of getting hurt.

Sinclair has been poor all season. Still, he is our top scorer and has contributed to us being top of the league. He, like the rest of the squad, needs a rest.

I think someone said on the match thread he was strapped up too so looks like he is carrying an injury.

I'll really like to hear an explanation for the latest accusation that Sinclair is afraid to put the ball in the net.

Can't quite figure out how that would work?
Agreed. That first chance he has it looks more like he takes his eye off the ball for a second. Not buying he shat himself.

He's played 32 matches already this season. I would imagine that's part of the reason he looks flat at the moment.
Scott Brown has played 35 matches this season and is 32 years of age.
He was Celtic's best player today and looked anything but tired.
Sinclair isn’t tired. He’s injured.
If he's injured why play him? He and the rest of the midfield need to go on one of those team building exercises. Running up and down the sand dunes of Saltcoats rather than those in sunny Dubai should get the players back in form again. :baltic:

You’d need to ask the manager but he missed the Dundee game with an injury and his leg was strapped up today so he was clearly still struggling with it. Maybe Rodgers felt his record against Sevco would be enough to spook them. Maybe they didn’t appreciate how much the injury would turn him into a coward.

I’ve said earlier that I don’t think he’d have started if Hayes wasn’t injured. I stand by that.

Poor today, in the second half especially.... but anyone can miss a sitter. He's a match winner on other occasions. The team and him included need a rest. We're top of the SPFL by miles and in the Europe League. It's looking pretty superb actually.

Sinclair's entire game is based around his speed. If he's tired, it'll show far more than in Brown, whose game is as much about where he positions himself as it is about his speed or strength.

Would be more confident if fans weren't on his case 24-7,the abuse he got today was shocking. That goes for the whole team, you would have thought we were losing with the amount screaming going on in the stands.
That’s just not true

His playing crap is nothing to do with the noise from the stands

Eff sake his name is sung at every game

Was heartless today - we will put up with a lot from players here but heartless stuff like today just isn’t acceptable
Yes it does.

He clearly does not want to make mistakes as he knows the abuse he will get forcing him to make the easy pass the majority of the time.It actually feels like some people can't wait for him to make a mistake to they can give him abuse

abysmal today

deserved to be hooked much earlier than he was.

he's lucky that we are a bit effed in the wide areas just now with all the injuries
I’d say he’s unlucky in that respect. The guys clearly carrying a knock. He missed the Dundee game and his leg was heavily strapped today. He wouldn’t have been in the starting 11 today if Hayes was fit imo.
true,

however i cant excuse the absolute shampooebaggery of pulling out of challenges where he was the clear favourite to win the ball.

Done it v Aberdeen as well.
