hearing the press are never away from his missus up here and its really annoying her

not good for her him or us
The lengths people go to to explain poor form

I’m sure she can handle it - she has been in the public eye for a very long time

I doubt it’s affecting his ability - genuinely
I wouldn't be so sure.

He hasn't been as good as last season, granted, but he's still scored and created a raft of our goals. Selling him for what we paid?

I've lost it with him, he winds me up so much that I can't comment impartially on what he's doing.

Would sell in a second in January if we got our money back.
Not sure if serious.... :ffs:
Yes, serious.

Your biggest earners have to have more good weeks than bad. He is on a huge wage, and we're not getting value for money.

He's regressing back into the player that my Villa supporting mates recognise.
lunacy, especially after 2 good performances. hes nothing like the player villa fans recognised

not getting value for money :ffs: sell for 3m :ffs:

He is still contributing massively and the stats will back that up.
just a shame he didnt more than earn his wages with big performances and goals in the most important qualifiers at the start of the season.

oh wait..

He's only been averaging just under a goal every two games for 17 months; punt. :cuckoo:

He drives me mad. Misses easy chances refuses to take players on who are terrified of him. It's infutiating.

Wouldn't sell him though. Still a real threat, with real ability.

Yeah but come on - everyone knows how important that was and is but it doesn’t mean he’s above any sort of critique for the rest of the season does it?

He’s not playing well - yeah some might be spitting the dummy out but most are just giving an honest appraisal.

It’s not a binary sugar or shampooe for me anyway

He’s not above criticism, it’s the nature of some of the criticism which is way OTT. Sell him etc.

Surely the fact that he’s making a significant contribution through goals and assists despite not being at his best shows how vital a player he is and confirms any talk of selling him is ridiculous.

The opposition was hardly top drawer.
He has been poor all season and way out of his depth against PSG and Bayern.
Folk who are using stats for the SPFL to back their argument are really stretching it.
He has limited ability. He is all right foot, defenders know he's going to come inside, therefore they double up and nullify the threat.
The odd time he does go on the outside he seldom uses his left foot to cross the ball.*
He, therefore, takes 2 more touches to get the ball on to his right foot which allows the defence to close the space. It also changes the angle of delivery, with the ball going towards the goalkeeper instead of to the forward which reduces the odds on the pass being successful.

He's 28 years of age and if he can't handle the 'mental' side of things, then he should seek alternative employment as like it or lump it comes with the job.

In his defence though. he doesn't pick himself. BR needs to open his eyes and see what everyone else can see.

* He did this against Hamilton, and lo and behold Ntcham scores a fabulous goal. This is what a left winger is supposed to do.

Just to clarify, are you suggesting that Scott Sinclair should give up football and seek an alternative career.

I'd leave the egg nog alone for a bit.

I thought he was poor yesterday & a few promising moves stopped with his dithering. Either take the man on or pass it quickly.

This post is weapons grade bollocks.

A person's ability to cope mentally with pressure situations is not an accurate representation of their wider attributes. That's a pathetic comment.

I can't believe this place sometimes. Hero last season but because his form dips we've got folk wanting him sold? Absolutely ludicrous nonsense.

A hat-trick at home to Astana, crucial goal away to them. Goal away to Anderlecht. That’s decent going before even going into his domestic goals.

You carry on with the OTT negativity though.

Got to disagree. I thought he was poor again. Improved in the second half but it wouldn't have been hard to improve on his first half showing.

Shocking when through one on one.

of course it doesnt but those goals are completely relevant to a discussion questioning wether he is value for money

punt for what we paid for him isnt an honest appraisal

they are clearly not doing a very good job of nullifying his threat are they.

he crossed with his left foot for hayes goal yesterday

you are pretty clueless if you think the role of a left winger in brendans setup is to get on the outside everytime

limited ability and struggles mentally :ffs:

Who in their right mind would buy him?
There wasn't exactly a queue when BR chapped his door.
