Done ok still not near his form of last season.

Also missed another good 1 on 1 chance. Hopefully find his shooting boots this week.

Don't think he shook off that heavy tackle in the first few minutes. Was trying to stretch out his ankle and calf for the rest of the half. Reckon he'll be a bit sore today.

Another terrible performance today.
Bullied off the ball very easily and missed yet another sitter due to his inability to use his left foot.
You and me must have been at two different games :cuckoo:

I've lost it with him, he winds me up so much that I can't comment impartially on what he's doing.

Would sell in a second in January if we got our money back.

He's sure as hell going through a massive slump in form. The two sitters he missed in the 1st half yesterday, he'd have buried them with his eyes shut last season.
Maybe a spell on the bench would help?
But to sell him now? Shirley not?

 Let's sell Moussa for the first offer we get too. And Rodgers can GTAF.

He was outstanding last season, I just think he is maybe suffering a bit with "second season syndrome" just now. He came up here and hit the ground running last year after struggling a bit down south for a few years, so possibly he is just struggling to replicate last season's form a bit. He will come good again, although in saying that, he has just been a bit inconsistent this season after playing a blinder almost week in, week out last year.
Hopefully he can soon return to the form he showed almost on a weekly basis last season.

The lengths people go to to explain poor form

I’m sure she can handle it - she has been in the public eye for a very long time

I doubt it’s affecting his ability - genuinely

He gets (as does KT) some serious rough stuff (on the pitch) and was regularly doubled up on but even at times where he has had time and space - he’s not doing as well - it’s a dip in form - truth is every time he’s appeared to ‘kick on’ this season and get his mojo back - it seems to leave him again pretty quickly

I love him - and we won’t be selling him any time soon - but he’s playing poorly and has been for a while

Is he in a slump, or was he performing waaay above his usual level last season?

Yes, serious.

Your biggest earners have to have more good weeks than bad. He is on a huge wage, and we're not getting value for money.

He's regressing back into the player that my Villa supporting mates recognise.

He is still contributing massively and the stats will back that up.
