He was alright but showed some very poor decision making tonight, maybe frustration.

Tonight his main purpose was to cover Dani Alves and the break and run at their defence. Half of that job description he's very able at and has loads of experience doing but the first part was where he struggled. It'll be rare that he'll face a player of that quality at RB again. He was also the closest we came to a goal and showed that, when he was attacking, can be a threat to any defence.

Thought he was rotten against an unforgiving team. Delayed when he was one on one allowing their 2nd man to get back and offered zero defensive help to KT
:cuckoo:

He was effectively playing as a wing-back in the first half because KT had obviously been told to play narrow. One of the few players willing to get on the ball and run at them and created at least two good chances.

We must have been watching different games.
Indeed mate all about opinions.

I just think he offered nothing defensively which against a team of that quality is going to cost us.

Going forward he got on the ball the most for us but got caught out time and time again.

Not saying he is a bad player or the loss was his fault be he was far from good in my opinion.

I thought he was one of our better players tonight.
Likewise.

As pointed out, there was a lack of overlapping from the full backs last night (rightly so to an extent) so he ended up having to try doing it all on his own although that doesn't compensate for poor decision making at times.

Agree - in mitigation on going forward he had no support (similar to roberts) so many times

no mitigation on his defensive performance - invisible - at times in first half i was wondering whether he'd been told not to track or attempt to get to alves as it seemed he was always standing in no mans land nowhere near the touchline and the marauding alves.

Only real option last night was park the bus. Sinclair and Roberts had no real chance last night, but Roberts did better.

The Roberts who had zero shots on target, and zero chances created?

Rotten last night. Looked like he didn't know which position he was playing, didn't know whether, or when, to stay narrow and when to push out to cover, his touch was off, looked half-hearted at times and totally done for their - 4th ?5th? Lustig's own goal.

He wasn't the only one. We were all ran ragged, it can happen against teams like that.

SCOTT SINCLAIR has revealed Celtic stars are barely noticing what’s going on at Rangers.

Lethal Sinclair, who bagged his ninth goal of the season in Wednesday’s rout of Dundee, says the Hoops are only focused on themselves.

And Sinclair insists that spells bad news for the rest of the Premiership.

Celts go to Ibrox for the first Old Firm derby of the season having stretched their astonishing unbeaten domestic run to 56 games.

The champions’ last trip to Govan ended in a 5-1 thrashing of Gers, and Sinclair said: “All our confidence is high going into Saturday’s game. We just need to go out there and do it again.

“We just take every game as it comes. We go into every game giving 100 per cent and we want to come out and win it.

“Rangers have made changes, but at the same time we just need to concentrate on ourselves.

“Once we concentrate on ourselves then it will be hard to beat us.

“I just concentrate on Celtic and everything surrounding us. I don’t look at any other players.

“That is the thing, we just focus on ourselves. From last year up until now it has been working and so we don’t need to look elsewhere.

“We just need to concentrate on giving 100 per cent for as long as we can.

“I wouldn’t say there’s no need to worry because there are always going to be games where things don’t go right for you.

“But it is about being mentally strong, and whatever comes we have to make sure we match it and come out on top.

“It just gives you confidence when we go back there.

“The result we had last season will give us confidence to go and relax and enjoy the game.

“They are great games to play in. They are massive games and it is one of the biggest around so it is amazing.

“All our fans will be right behind us. I am sure their fans will give us some stick, but we will deal with it and get on with it.”

Celtic had no problem rattling goals past Gers No1 Wes Foderingham last term.

But Sinclair will settle for a mundane 1-0 victory — in his mind a win is all that matters.

Sinclair, 28, added: “Coming off winning all the time is the main thing. When we come off with the three points that is the whole object of things.

“It doesn’t matter how many we win by as long as we get the three points.”

Meanwhile, Sinclair feels Hoops skipper Scott Brown isn’t getting the credit he deserves because of the high-profile goalscorers like himself.

Sinclair said: “Scott is very under-rated and goes under the radar. He is our captain and leader.

“Not only does he make strong challenges, but he also gets the ball down and passes it and controls the midfield.

“The front three, when we are playing and scoring goals, maybe takes a bit of the spotlight off Scott.”
