For a player who scores so prolifically he has some knack for missing absolute sitters inside the 6 yard box.

Played better last night. Would like to see him take his man on more often though. Had the beating of the full back easily last night, he had him for pace and he was on a yellow but he never took him on enough.

His movement is incredible and makes all the difference. No surprise he stuttered without a centre forward to free up space.

The full back got booked 20 mins from full time. We were flying at that point and Sinclair was causing all sorts of problems.

6 goals in 7 appearances for a player that has started the season poorly, according to some. He's a gem.
Wednesday was the first game this season where his overall play - attacking wise, he was very good defensively away to Rosenborg - has been any good.

Prior to last night he was still scoring but playing pretty poorly I'd say.

His ability to turn defenders and run past them at pace is superb. We played to his strengths on Wednesday and he revelled in it. On this form , he will be a real threat in Europe.

Wednesday night will kick start his whole season now. He started slowly in the game and ended up Ntcham aside possibly the best on the park.

I think he was poor against Thistle and Rosenborg at home. He was great against Linfield home and away and Astana. He put in a great shift away to Rosenborg.

I'm struggling to recall all of these other bad games he's had given that the only other one he has played was against Hearts and I don't really remember his performance sticking out one way or another in that game.

It's almost as if people listen to Chris Sutton and think because he said something it must be true.

Sinclairs poor start to the season was overstated, as was Armstrongs for that matter. Yes they may not have hit the heights that they did last season but it doesn't mean they have been poor. They have both still contributed, especially Sinclair who is sitting on 6 goals in August.

Playing against packed, deep lying defences such as the way Rosenborg at CP and Thistle set up prevented Sinclair from being able to use his blistering pace to full advantage. Astana played right into his hands.

What about Rosenborg away when he ran at their defence and set up the first goal?

If 6 goals in 7 games isn't good enough what do people want?

Calm doon.

6 goals in 7 games is more than good enough, I didn't say it wasn't.

I think Wednesday was the first time he had a really good game to go with the goals.

If he kept scoring at almost a goal a game then it'll be amazing, but all the better if he can score regularly and play like he did on Wednesday regularly.

He set the bar pretty high last season. Hasnt quite reached that level this season. Brendan hinted at it a couple of weeks ago when he mentioned the short summer break and how it had affected him.

He hasn't started the season the way we know he can. That's been quite obvious. Wednesday was the best he has played this season by a considerable distance. Back to the way he was last season. Aye he has scored 6 goals but he has been nowhere near the level we know he is capable of. Until Wednesday night.

That was by far his best game so far this season (discounting Linfield at home as they were part time).

It doesn't mean he hasn't contributed but his growing confidence was clear and he looked back to being the player he was last year ie the best in the country.

Nobody needs Chris Sutton to tell them that, even if he happens to be correct.

The season has just started, he is banging in goals while not at his best. God help them when he is fully up and running. :boxer:

Correct as well as the season was very early. Sutton was talking as if Sinclair had played 12 games.

When Didier Agathe got the ball, we wanted a 9.3 second 100 metres whilst beating 5 men and providing an assist. What does Scott have to do? He isn't Messi. He's just our best player since Henrik, and its a privilege to watch him.

Needs a rest.
Brendan rested him for the full 90 against Kilmarnock. A great decision as it was clear he wasn't quite firing on all cylinders for the first few games and, according to Brendan, he was having to adjust to a much shorter summer break.

We saw the best of Scotty last night. Great man-management from Brendan.
Just seeing this. Great trolling.
