I think it was a tough one for him tonight.

He made a few great runs but wasn't spotted and didn't have a striker to play off.

Not a great performance but a difficult game for him to get himself involved in given our shape tonight.

I thought he was ok in the first half, he had a few nice touches and was always available, he ran into a few dead ends but I'd blame that more on Tierney having a stinker, our lack of a striker and how little movement was offered by his team mates.

I'm often critical of him just because people overstate his quality, which is maybe unfair on him. But when we really needed him tonight, he hid. He's not a reliable guy in the biggest games, that's evident. I like him, but he's not "by far the best player at the club" as I read so many times.

He was clearly pinpointed as our danger man and wasn't given a yard. Could he have done better? Probably, however I expect him to bounce back quickly. He's too good not to.

This. Couldn't say if he was rotten or otherwise.

Marked out the game, linked up well with Tierney well a few times in the first half but that was it. He should've started up top in my opinion... can only assume Rodgers didn't want to start with Hayes on the left

When the team's playing well, he stands out. When things are going poorly, like last night, he tends to be as average as everyone else.

Another less than impressive first half especially - invisisble man

A bit better in the second half but big man needs to get back into the groove sharpish

Worked his balls off when we didn't have the ball.

Great to see a player work like that when it's not going his way in an attacking sense.

Love him

His defensive work tonight was utterly brilliant. No doubt a job he was asked to do by Rodgers. Obviously not classy but still brilliant tonight
