Sinclair is a cracking signing. He is going to be brilliant for us. Give me a proven £4m player every day over a bunch of Pukki/Scepovic/Bangura/Balde punts which end up costing as much.
Happy with the signing....but Sinclair is not a proven player or any sort of safe bet.

His career has been going nowhere after early promise. Rodgers may well be the manager to get him back on track, but it's still a punt. We've just upped the stakes from our usual 0 - £2million punt to a £4million punt.
Averaged a goal every 3 games for a relegated Aston Villa side. Not bad for a winger.

He's a good player who has something to prove. I've no doubt he could have got more money down south but he knows BR and clearly has faith that he's the best manager to help him rediscover top form.

I don't know much about him but Brendan Rodgers does and that's the important think. He's building his own team and I'm sure it'll be better than the team I watched the last couple of years.

In my head there is an image of a motor careering its way to RossHall, all over the shop, sirens blaring, a green flashing light with one of those flex cords being bungled on to the roof and a sellick tap being thrown on.

I hope you get that photo Paul.

Is it okay on here to say 'Well done Peter'??

:suspect:
No. Polarisation is the only acceptable approach on KDS.

Players, managers, scouts, and board members are either woeful, wage-thieving, lazy, clueless, cowardly (cowardice is very fashionable here), imposters.

Or they're not. Actually, it's less polarised than it used to be. We get very excited occasionally but usually success and achievement is rationalised in quite a neutral way.

The official line is that Sinclair has signed in spite of Lawwell. His only contribution is to have delayed matters. If you are going to post any more about him then please be sure to make reference to his bonus.

always remember to sign off your post with the word "Punt". This is applicable to just about any post in almost any thread.

By all accounts he was fantastic for them. Which led to the City move. Hopefully we can get him back to that level.

Delighted with this signing. Big statement of intent from the club. I'm absolutely buzzing about this season, I think we're in for a treat :rocker:

So what's the fee? The £3.8mil buyout in his contract???

No way it's the £4.5 reported by the smsm, they're just saying that to make it look like our biggest signing since Brown in 2007  £4.4
