Was Sinclair linked to any other clubs or just us ? I hope & pray he turns out to be a star for us , just weird that no other clubs competed with us for his signature 🍀
Villa fan on twitter had 3 other English clubs bidding for him but that he wanted to play in the CL and work with Brendan again.

Sinclair is a cracking signing. He is going to be brilliant for us. Give me a proven £4m player every day over a bunch of Pukki/Scepovic/Bangura/Balde punts which end up costing as much.

My thought also. For us, it's a chunky fee but hes a quality player and sometimes you just need to pay that bit extra. The manager wanted him and was backed. Fair play.

Great signing.

As is mentioned above, laying out £4M on one proven player is far better than laying out the same on 3 or 4 duffs.

I'd start him on Wednesday night and 45 against Inter.

Need to develop as much understanding with the rest of the squad as possible before the play off.

No. Polarisation is the only acceptable approach on KDS.

Players, managers, scouts, and board members are either woeful, wage-thieving, lazy, clueless, cowardly (cowardice is very fashionable here), imposters.

Or they're not. Actually, it's less polarised than it used to be. We get very excited occasionally but usually success and achievement is rationalised in quite a neutral way.

The official line is that Sinclair has signed in spite of Lawwell. His only contribution is to have delayed matters. If you are going to post any more about him then please be sure to make reference to his bonus.

always remember to sign off your post with the word "Punt". This is applicable to just about any post in almost any thread.

Happy with this.

Biggest plus for me is that BR has worked with him twice before and will know him as a person and a player. Seems to have that wee extra bit of quality we will need.

With Dembele, Sinclair and Toure we will have signed a striker, attacking midfielder and centre half all capable of going straight into the first team, not squad players

Same again for the deeper midfield role would be great.

Punt.

was reading that, the wee clubs fans with new money seem to be full of self importance these days, not so much villa, who are i believe are a big club, the smaller english ones like hull, stoke and the like that get on my nerves

good blend of experience and youth too. One more , preferably the much desired "hard-as-nails-ball-winning-blend of Lambert/Lennon/Lubo" we desperately need.

Would also like to see a couple out the door.

Punt.

Reading some of those comments, I hope he doesn't turn out to be another Stuart Slater. :twitch:

All the best, Scott; welcome to the Celtic family... which, like all families, has its disagreements.

This signing sets us up well for the Inter game- we could secure mid table quite comfortably now.

Happy with the signing....but Sinclair is not a proven player or any sort of safe bet.

His career has been going nowhere after early promise. Rodgers may well be the manager to get him back on track, but it's still a punt. We've just upped the stakes from our usual 0 - £2million punt to a £4million punt.

The manager has worked with him at two clubs, knows him well, hes at a good age and has done well at a good level. Quality wise, hes a big step up from what we have already. Sure, his early promise didnt continue in the upward spiral but hey, if it did, he wouldnt be coming to us for a £3m fee

Nonsense. Sinclair is a quality addition and an upgrade on what we have except PR.

He got lured by the bright lights and money of city and lost his way a bit,not the first and won't be the last.
