Yeah he did. Mentioned the quality of the SPFL.
To be fair he wasn't wrong
He was in a sense that he believed it would stunt Big Fraser's progress.

We all know how that worked out :)

Moyes beginning to realise he's made a mistake, "Sunderland always had an appeal to me, but if I had known about the situation I would have needed to look at it in a different way," said Moyes, whose Sunderland are four points adrift of safety ahead of Saturday's game against Watford.

"I would have had to think a lot more about it, because at the end of the day I want to manage in the Premier League.
"I did not know the club could be going up for sale, I was not made aware of that before. I didn't see us having no money [in January]. Even in the summer I knew what we were spending was small in comparison — and I said that to the owner.

"But I hoped it would be a short period and we would then have the next period [January] to get things done. That has shown itself not to be the case.

"I'm disappointed that I will not be able to do some work in January and try and build on what we've done."

Incredible admission to make halfway through a season, to say you regret taking the job. Cooked his goose now I would say, and has probably blown his pay-off.

Leaving his past misdemeanours aside for a moment, what exactly qualifies Mackay for the post anyway?
Part of the unseen fenian hand conspiracy? He's a Tim.

Moyes' 'management' of Sunderland this season has been a total car crash. The eff is he thinking coming out with things like that? He already lambasted the players in a weird one earlier in the campaign.

He said at the start of the season that they would be fighting relegation this was after about 6 games.

I thought at the time he was wanting the sack with that type of defeatist attitude.

Loads of goalkeepers in England have played in our league before they went there and done very well.

Including the guy who was his number one keeper when he made the comments.

I have noticed that Pardew is hated by many on here but I have no idea why. Could someone enlighten me as I lead a sheltered life here in Canada?

Don't think he will leave during a campaign.

He's too committed to the Wales squad.

They're meeting Big Sam for talks.

One winker out and another straight in.
Just went from 4/7 into 1/9 with PP. Safe to say someone has lumped on big time.
Probably the big man himself..... he needs the extra cash after a wee deal he had went south.......

To be fair, he never exactly raised expectation - he told the fans at the start of the season that he expected them to be fighting relegation. :brickwall:

I think the Man Yoo debacle has just totally effed him.

What's the story with Pardew? Why is he so dislike?

I've genuinely no interest in English football whatsoever so what's he done?
No offence mate but even aliens on Mars know why Pardew is universally despised

He actually said in week 1/2 they will be fighting relegation so why expect more.

Nothing like the manager trying to motivate you to achieve big goals early on eh?... :cuckoo:

Would he not be better saying we can get to mid table, what a good team they have and with his ideas plus one or two signings he can push them up mid table and take it from there?? White flag after 1 game...
