Team's stagnated.
Would you be happy with Cathro?
I'd be intrigued. It's a fresh approach, and I'd be keen to see how he got on.

Press saying he's the clear frontrunner.

I wouldn't be against someone like Peter Houston but that's a bit uninspiring. Hartley is a definite no for me.

Why. ??

Bolton, Coventry and Sheffield United in that division .. all arguably much bigger clubs than Hearts :ponder:
Yeah but he's not joining any of those clubs. He's going to a club with an average attendance of 9,000, zero history and very little money (judging by their lack of transfer activity in recent windows).
He's going to a club who play in a 30,000 seat stadium based in a town with a population of 200,000

Hearts are about as high as they can go.....his "standing" can only drop from here ??

Who knows what MK Dons could achieve ???

Maybe that's what he's thinking

Why not on Hartley? Would've thought he'd be a popular choice.

Possibly. But MK Dons got promoted to the Championship 18 months ago, barely spent a penny and got relegated back to the lower leagues immediately. They're certainly not acting like a club with great ambition.

He could go on to be another Rodgers down the line but he's 30 and it's his first job. I hope he does well but I'd rather he was an assistant at the club first.

Aye. I'm intrigued to see how it works with Cathro, he's definitely more of a head coach than traditional manager. Should work well with Levein and make Hearts a little more sophisticated. Whether it's enough for them to beat Maltese part-timers... well, that's the dream.

A decent manager could probably have given Hearts a right good go at finishing second this year IMO*

*Have no idea what their finances are like right now, more of a comment on how utterly shampooe the competition is.

Has he agreed to go then? No point sticking about for tonight's game.

Get the players fired up, ready to go and impress the new manager.
