Allegedly Steve Bruce to Aston Villa.
Would be an odd move given he's one game away from a return to the EPL and used to manage Birmingham. McLeish was never accepted by the Villa fans after crossing the city.

I'd like to see Mourinho go back to his Porto days. Pressing, attacking fullbacks, certainly a lot more attractive than his more recent teams.

And let's not forget he really wants this job despite the rumours that he needs to be wooed. This is the job he wanted after Madrid. Big club, great history and a chance to build something from the shampooe that's there.
I'd like to see him be an abject failure :)
I concur.

if they are living hand to mouth i would love to know how they can afford bartons wage and basically double the managers wage :ponder: not to mention the wages of other players they are hoping to bring in, the manager wanted a bigger squad but they have released 3 or 4 and brought in 3 or 4 for free.

Reportedly, Billy McKindlay“s days as manager for Norwegian side Stabęk are getting close to an end. After 12 matches, his team are placed second to last on the table, while they last season managed a surprising 3rd place under Bob Bradley (former manager of the US internationals).

A Scottish club sack a Norwegian manager. Now Norwegians sack a Scot. Is this war ? :o

An eye for an eye, a sack for a sack.

And a few weeks back, a Scottish member on a Norwegian football forum was very surprised to see himself banned. We“re kinda strict about these things.

People that tried to sign a player (Murray, King involved in oldco too remember, hopefully BDO and HMRC remember  ) the day they went into administration? You're trying to make sense of their financial strategy?

Barton presumably becomes a true Sevconian on 1st July. Wages paid monthly in arrears, so he starts costing them money from around end July. That gives them about six weeks to sell a lot of season tickets on the back of his signing.

If the suggestion that a lot of their players are on 48 week contracts is true, they should be pretty cash rich (by their standards) through the summer, but will struggle as the season progresses. A couple of European home ties would have been very helpful for them

Edit to add: I've just realised Warburton has disappeared off on holiday for several weeks. Which presumably means radio silence from him. Gives him plausible deniability if he returns from holiday and in the meantime his agent has sorted out a move elsewhere, while Sevco have been merrily selling season tickets on the back of him extending his contract and Barton signing. I wonder if he has a promotion bonus which doesn't vest until after a certain date - say 30th June for arguments sake. Would be worth him keeping his head down, pocketing the cash, and then disappearing as pre season is starting. Pure speculation on my part. Zero inside info.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Where you hear the rumour?

They'd be in a pretty dire state if he left, the team is already useless but at least the players seemed to like him.

If he goes i'd imagine a whole bunch of that squad will also leave with him.
A good source.

His supposed new club will be playing a lot of derby matches next year.
Not a chance Warburton will be away this summer.

yup,i wouldn't have thought so.

English clubs weren't exactly clamouring for him when he got binned at brentford. I don't see why they would be after a season in scotlands 2nd tier.

King is Murray lite. He's a got the same hard-on for grandiose signings and statements of intent.

Bring it.
