That's pure baws for Caldwell. He's only 6 points off mid table.

Tough for Caldwell after what he did with that team last season.
the new Wigan chairman has all the snake oil charm of his old man. Ungrateful bassa.
Dave Whelan is not his old man - he's his Grandfather :o

Was watching one of those sky season reviews. In 2011/12 the aguero season, there are 9 teams who were in the premier and are no longer in it. Only Newcastle look guaranteed for a return. Some of those 9 are completely effed. English football is mental. No patience. So greedy. Nothing anyone doesn't already know but I thought that stat was interesting.

Brazil on radio was saying this morning 6 championship managers lost their jobs since season's beginning (9 weeks old)... :cuckoo:

Tend to avoid watching/cheering English football due to Sky's greed and constant look how brilliant our league is..

There are a few managers who seem "made" for the Championship but would struggle in the EPL
Mick McCarthy, Neil Warnock, Chris Hughton, Steve Bruce, Paul Lambert, Steve Clarke, David Moyes.
Eddie Howe at B'mouth is a surprise.

Isn't that just the nature of promotion and relegation over a long period of time in a league where three go up and three go down every season?

Nonetheless, the Championship is a hideous league where there are just so many idiots showing off how not to run a football club.

Maybe, but it shows how effed your team can get if you get relegated especially after sustained time in the EPL.

Championship is one ugly fecker of a competition.

Many millionaire players in there who literally cannot pass a ball 20 yards. Broad brush statement maybe but players making an absolute fortune who are bang average..

2/3 thirds of it lacks genuine quality and finesse/flair and results are ground out. As mentioned above listened to talksport en route to work this morning and Kenny Jackett said as much.

Big league , more games and less quality only need to look at this model.

I'm gonna predict McGhee will be punted soon ( they are extremely lucky that Dundee had to sell their only goalscorer)

Replaced by Terry Butcher....

Looks like fat Sam is the new England boss
To quote Henry Ford "If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got"

Sam Allardyce is just the next Hoddle, Keegan, McLaren or Hodgson. He won't bring them the success they desperately want and bizzarley think they are entitled to but far be it from me to stop England making yet another utterly daft and totally wrong appointment
Haven't visited this thread since July, first post that popped up deserves quoting!

5 of the teams that were in the 2011/12 SPL aren't currently in it, which is roughly and relatively the same % as your EPL stat....
