Maybe not, but Lennon is a brilliant manager IMO, and will get even better.

Wouldn’t say he was a loose cannon.

He’s been in football, and experienced the dark side of the game for half of a 30 odd year career. It’s a competitive game and he hasn’t ever really been directly involved in anything terrible on the pitch. Given what he has experienced he probably experiences life in ‘fight or flight’ mode given the stresses of the job and life in Scotland. A few arguments here or there are pretty meaningless.

He does need to prove something outside of Celtic before he can be seen as a brilliant manager though. Leaving the Hibs job now would be crazy.

I think he was a very underrated player who did fantastic covering off the ball. The only "terrible" incident involving Lenny on the pitch that I can recall was the time Shearer stamped on his head in a Leicester v Newcastle game. "Alan" was the England captain so it never got the deserved highlights and he got away virtually scot free.
I said loose cannon as I think that the temperament is a little suspect in defeat. Wednesday showed that he hasn't mellowed with age. There's a time and place for everything.

I think Shearer's status in the English game helped him more than a bit there, but when some journalists started to focus on that incident he felt forced into a bit of an apology, but NL brushed the incident off and pretty much said something along the lines of no harm done, let's just forget about it.

Yep arrogant bunch - still consider themselves as a CL team and call the others "also-rans". They've also gone the sevco route for hybris by having 2 stars on the jersey to represent their twentieth league title last season. However they've had a shocking start to the season and have only 3 games left before the summer/worldcup break. Not much time for a new manager to get them in shape for CL qualifiers

Allardyce binned. Don't like him but he seems to have done the job he was called in to do. Not sure if they were expecting him to have them playing scintillating football.

Ah well. Another contract paid up and a pint of wine for Big Sam.

Good. Every time I see his fat corrupt face full of chewing gum I want to punch the TV.

A £6 million payoff. I won't feel too sorry for him.

It is crazy stuff from Everton.

Also WHU are supposedly going to bin Moyes. Another bizarre decision.

Marco Silva for Everton next apparently. Was relatively impressed with the jobs he did at Hull and Watford initially, but both ended rather abruptly and saw a slump in form. Be interesting to see how he does with a better pool of players and bigger budget. Risky appointment though.

Teams generally struggle after they sack him, a few have gone down iirc. His football is pig ugly though and Everton will expect better with that squad, actually a decent squad when you look at it.
