Watching Liverpool game reminded me that there were posters on here saying Klopp had ben a failure at Liverpool.

2 full seasons, 2 European finals & qualified for the Champions League in both of those seasons.
Some of our support actually thought/think Rodgers is a better manager than klopp.

Prior to reaching the champions league final a lot of Liverpool fans were unsure of Klopp

Says a lot about Liverpool's standing now that 'getting to finals' and CL qualification is a relative success. They should be better than that - like us they are one of the proper big clubs but they have the cash and have spent it.

I think Klopp is a tremendous, really exciting manager but Leicester City won the league on his watch FFS.
He took over mid way through the season when that happened did he not?

Maybe Klopp could do with making them better players. They can't be that bad or they wouldn't be in the Final. Liverpool's domestic record is appalling.
Not saying they’re bad players, but James Milner and Andy Robertson never struck me as the type of players I’d expect to see lining up in a Champions League Final. They’re currently third in the EPL, ahead of Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal. They’re only behind a record-breaking Man City and a Man Utd squad that’s had over £400 million spent on it in recent seasons. Hardly appalling.
They have 2 of the best forwards in the world in their team.

Either a stroke of absolute out-of-nowhere genius or another mental decision. By both parties.

What’s going on at Arsenal? When they forced Wenger out I assumed it was because they had lined someone up who simply wouldn’t wait another year. But in the last few days they’ve been linked with the assistant managers of Liverpool and Man Utd.

klopp recruited both did he not?
tbf most lfc fans have bought into what he is trying to achieve and the attacking football is at times box office.
defence not so!
during klopps time two euro finals aint half bad, if I recall Brendan sending a scratch team to play Real which was horrible at the time.
for me he is a top top manager

Was talking to an Arsenal fan on Tuesday night, he wants Simeone. He also said he reckons they won't get this one right and that it'll be similar to when Fergie left Man U - they'll go through 2 or 3 before they get aything resembling success.

Asking this again in here as it'll just get lost in the Sevco thread: has any rookie manager ever been successful at a club he has no prior connection to?

Fair enough, I thought he'd managed in the English lower leagues before he went to Sweden but he didn't. I was more thinking about guys who've gone into roles with fairly high expectations and met them straight away though.
