Scotland Today now saying he was sacked. :cuckoo:
He was sacked.

The Gospel according to St Atement says he was "relieved of his duties." That means he got the sack.
The original reports stated he “Walked”
St Atement is pretty clear.

From this Daily Record article

'Murty’s mental state was described as "fragile" on Sunday at full-time. He was in no position to speak to the media following the game, having also been publicly humiliated by Dave King’s letter to season-ticket holders two weeks ago that effectively ruled out the chance of him getting the job.'

That's been briefed directly to the DR by someone close to the situation.
I don't believe a word of it. When your No. 1 isn't up to it, you send out the No.2. The fact that there was no sign of Nicholl, and no comment from the orcs for more than 24 hours after the game is proof enough that they're trying to pin this silence on Murty, by disgracefully calling his mental health into question.

I don't think they are questioning his mental health, just saying that he was not feeling up to facing the media, which is understandable given the circumstances. There's a difference between mental state and mental health, just like there a difference between being depressed, and suffering from depression.

There's no way of knowing for sure, but 'fragile' to me is a weasel word being used as a fig leaf in this situation to denigrate the man in order to deflect blame from the real culprits. Even at best it's a horrible stain on his character and as I already opined, the reason given is 100% bullshampoo. If it were simply a case of one man having a bad time, the club could have sent out the assistant, or someone else. There was a clear intention across the whole club to close ranks and keep quiet across all forms of communication for more than 24 hours, so to try and pin it on the donkey - so to speak - is totally disingenuous on their part.

I don't buy this crap. Too many inconsistencies which is in itself consistent with Sevco behaviour. Some on here have little sympathy for him and I fully accept that view. I tend to go along with BR in his opinion that Murty has been shoddily treated. But the whole managerial shenanigans has been stage managed, badly, in the expectation of their gullible support renewing season books and providing working capital. Things are unravelling a bit though, and the vacant No 2 spot at Liverpool might be a more appealing and considerably less risky step for SG. Step forward Jimmy and Jonny, because the Krankies are unavailable!

Murty would be crazy to go back to the under 20's.

Maybe but fans talk about football in terms that are often very detached from reality. Not everyone in football is minted.
Murty had a pretty ordinary playing career and while he might have a few bob stashed away he's hardly at EPL levels of income. His best earning years are likely now well behind him.
He has a family to support. Maybe taking that position isn't his choice to make but rather one he has to accept.

Either way they've treated him like keech.
Who effing cares?
I’m trying but I’m not really feeling anything

“Relieved of duties” isn’t necessarily being sacked.
They might not be able to afford sacking him because he probably has a contract which they would have to honour !
( ok I know that’s unlikely)
They probably wanted him to resign so they wouldn’t have to pay him anything.
Like anyone who values their professional name and standing, he is better off out of there, hopefully he gets his dosh

WGAF how Murty is being treated?

You fly with the craws, you get shot with the craws

eff him
 It is all getting a bit silly with the sympathy vote ffs.

He was like a rabbit in the headlights everytime we saw him interviewed - Even when he tried his positive motivational pieces about catching Timmy/still wanting the job despite the level 5 Gerrard talk it was risible and just good craic for us.

The guy was asked to step up into the mire that is the Zombies - He knew it was a complete and utter cesspit of a place and a gig - Can't blame him for trying but all this it will have damaged his mental health is a lot of crock - He and everybody else knew from the get go he would be thrown under the bus sooner or later - It happened weeks ago and he still stayed despite that so let's not go Poor Pitiful Graeme now ffs.

A wee break in the sun to get it out of his system and he will be fine and get a job in football elsewhere.

There are people with real mental health issues and God help see them through but Murty isn't one of them because he took the additional hun currency* as Manager for a few months and got binned - If he doesn't get weighed in in freshly printed notes from Possil his bank account will be fine and that is the end of it for him - If he chooses to stay on as a Youth coach he will show he is still prepared to buy into the poison that is the hun.

Anyways so many Managers like the Loaf/Mad Pedro and Murty with so many charlatans at the helm like Minty/the Green and Whyte duo (poetic licence on the order but what a beautiful irony it was those surname colours) and now Chateau du Lait's very own school fee paying crook with his hudgie on the No.34 Bus to Govan mythical tales to appease the one brain celled hordes - It's magical long may it continue until the bastards finally bite the dust once and for all.

Roon every single one of them.
'The one brain celled hordes'   and that's just an astrocyte! No disrespect to astrocytes intended .... other brain-cell subtypes do exist ....
