Clarke is a Tim.

Three names that have been mentioned recently as being "serious" contenders were allegedly Clarke, Alex Neil and Gerrard, I think they all have at least one thing in common :ponder:
If Gerrard did take the job, I was kind of wondering if they would bring someone in a "wise old head" as his assistant and have something akin to Souness/Smith, but I read somewhere that Gerrard has also been offered the Ipswich job, so I'd guess he might find that more tempting than the Huns.
They'd have been better off with McLeish or even Billy Davies.

They've worked their way thru all categories

Former players mccoist, mccall
Unknown foreigner caixinha
youth coach temp manager murty

What they've not done is gone for a real quality manager

They should just go for Tommy Wright/Neil McCann double act and be done with it

I'll be very disappointed if I don't see an article in the coming weeks with Billy Davies touting Billy Davies for the hun job.

With him being at the 3-2 game & King at the 5-2 CL game, are they clutching at straws, or is there something in it?
BBC running with him being on the short list.

Andy Lynch in the paper today being quoted in the past as talking about how Gerrard knew his son Simon - played a few games for Celtic back in the day - and he met him at a Liverpool game where SG told Lynch he loved Celtic and came up to games as often as he could manage.

Quotes would surely make it more like a press release? The fact there are no quotes would suggest some actual journalism has taken place. Not by the BBC admittedly, but whoever first broke the Gerrard story.

Possible he’s not chatted to Klopp yet - Klopp saying he’s not worried ‘no one has told him about discussions yet’ and SG has ‘a decision to make’

BR has been reported as saying he’s ‘a little surprised’ about the possibility

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Very Barnesesque
In a sense yes, although we had Dalglish there as a contingency; granted he didn’t perform as we would have liked but there doesn’t seem to be any ‘mentor’ figure as such here.
Going by his track record before getting the Celtic job, Dalglish must be the most successful manager ever appointed manager by a Scottish club ever.

3 League titles with 2 different clubs in England, couple of cups aswell.

Emery leaving PSG this summer, surprise, surprise.
Thomas Tuchel the next QSG manager apparently. Quite a progressive step.

Can't imagine how he'll get on with the Brazilian contingent.

What's progressive about flinging megabucks at the next hyped manager?

Is it cos he's got a combover?

Mark Lawrenson couldn't be any more anti Scottish football if he tried

It will be interesting (not really ) what his opinion will be

Robin Friday dealt with Lawrenson in the perfect manner.
