Deschamps contract has been extended until 2022. The personal bond between the FFF president and him should keep him in the job no matter the result. The only other candidate would be France national god. Zidane has a clause in his Real Madrid contract allowing him to take France job.
Really? that's insane, surprised Madrid allowed that. Thought they were a bit too WATP thinking to imagine someone wanting a break clause in their own favor. Do you reckon he'd do well as France coach? I know you're no his biggest fan as a coach, but do you reckon he'd do better than DD?
If God is appointed as France manager, we will win every game and every trophy.

Seriously, I wanted him for this World Cup. I'm not a believer of the Zidane religion because I'm an atheist, but I think he'd do well with France. For many reasons, it's the job of his life.

To be precise, I didn't like Zidane's Mr Hyde side as a player. He was sent off 14 times, and always for disgraceful acts.

Just saw Neil McCann. What a rid neck!
For Red Neck read PRIIICK!!!
He has wee man angry syndrome
A ridiculous performance by McCann. Makes you appreciate having someone of Brendan's class at our club. If I had the misfortune to be on the Dundee board I would be looking to sack the idiot for embarrassing their club.

I think Brendan will leave Chris Davies and one or two of the backroom fellas when he leaves. Been going on about building the club etc - wouldn't make sense for him to root up the full staff. Would maybe mean we're going to take the Southampton route in future - Brendan sets it up, then whoever comes in in future fits the mould and slots in. None of the changing style with each new guy patter.

Sorry but that has to be absolute utter and total bollocks

You really think anyone here would have Chris Davies as our next manager :cuckoo:

 cheers man. Would be interesting to see for sure. Wonder where he'll go post-Madrid, even if it's not France right away.

Going by the reports ive heard, with some experience beside him I’d be more than happy for CD to eventually take charge.

Assistants taking over when the manager leaves invariably doesn’t work.

I’d be horrified if we let someone cut their managerial teeth here. John Barnes had experience beside him, didn’t he?!

If it’s before we’ve hit 10, this would be absolute lunacy.

It's happened once recently plus Pep stepping up from the B team and former B team manager Enrique taking the job after managing Roma and Celta. Barca have probably had more English managers than Spanish ones.

Not really.

If we're still trying to wrap up 10, we shouldn't' be taking any unnecessary risks IMO.

Chris Davies is closer to BR than the current Mrs R.

Where Brendan goes, he goes.

Our next manager , whenever that might be, will almost certainly be Neil Lennon, either with Gordon Strachan as DoF, or not, depending on whether he'd accept that.

Not this season, but I don't think it's a silly suggestion. We've had a Norwegian Journeyman and Tony Mowbray in recent years remember. The talk for years has been about continuity. Ronny was to take over from Lenny and then give on to Kennedy. Ronny made an arse of that so BR's here. I'm tellin ye Jim. Unless DD finally gets his man and effs it all up in the air for Henrik or Keane. What we think is neither here nor there with Celtic. They'll do what they want to do.

Is that an informed opinion? Thought NL had enough of the board and their lack of ambition?

I guess it depends on whose side of the story you listen to.

Is it an informed opinion? I heard the names mentioned, so probably has a bit of truth in it.

Given time, Jack Ross seems like someone who'll eventually be a candidate to take over at Celtic.

He and Rodgers have a good relationship as well.

If Brendan goes now it's Lennon's job if he wants it surely?

Wouldn't mind Lenny back at all. Fitba had it's moments at times, but with a better starting squad and a bit more professionalism behind the scenes, you'd think he'd get the type of team together that he wanted this time, rather than making do with what was appearing at training.
