DD can't say much else, he knows BR has said he's staying yesterday & he knows they've an agreement.
He'll go when he wants to & the Club need to let him talk to whoever meets the criteria.

Here we go 10 in a row.

Brendan going to Arsenal would be great for us as it shows other managers that Celtic can be a great shop window for them.

I was just waiting for Bagheera's take on things.

Even by his own high standards, that's top trolling.

Wenger was some manager back in his day. That Arsenal team with Pires, Henry, Ljungberg etc were just incredible and contributed to some really exciting title battles with Man Utd and winning a few along the way.
Documentary on Channel 5 on Monday night about those days.

All Desmond had to say was that BR had made a statement on his future yesterday and that was it. Although he could have told Sky Sports to go eff themselves too.

Neil McCann acting with the humour and grace that he is renowned for.

Quote:

In response to being asked if he intends to speak to Tommy Wright about their touch line bust-up, Dundee Boss, Neil McCann said “Absolutely not. I have no intention of speaking to that man at all. He’s not welcome around here. I’ve read his comments, so no.”

Will be very surprised if Arsenal appoint Brendan Rodgers. Emery, Sarri, Tuchel, Allegri, Luis Enrique are all way more likely. Outside shots for me would be Vieira or, if they're willing to spend some money, Diego Simeone.

Edit (SP).

Tommy Wright and Neil McCann seem to be a bit petulant.

BR has already been burned by the EPL and how the press can turn against you. He'll know the Arsenal job is likely to be almost impossible to get right immediately after Wenger. I can't see him taking the chance at being emotionally and mentally drained by the EPL spotlight right now. He's loving it with us and getting to develop youth players at a leisurely pace whilst experiencing trophies, adoring fans and european nights.

Anyway, Arsenal won't go for him as their fanbase would see it as a step backwards ;)

Realistically, there's nothing any club can do to stop their manager going to a new club if compensation has been lined up. There's no point in the club being needlessly antagonistic by denouncing Arsenal over a hypothetical decision that, frankly, won't materialise anyway. An English club with title ambitions (realistic or otherwise) are not going to consider a Celtic manager - which is our gain.

I wouldn't be shocked if Rodgers went. If he wins the double treble he's done it all domestically. Would b a big job in the EPL too which would be hard to turn down. Still hope he stays for the 10.
