Wenger seems to be suggesting Patrick Vierra as his replacement.
No chance Patrick Vierra gets the job.

Patrick Vieira maybe.

I spent years correcting France supporters about that. I'm not giving up now. :arrr:

eff sake. Should be saying we'll be fighting tooth and nail to keep him and only yesterday was saying how happy he was and noting the work still to be done at the club.

Doffing out caps to the EPL with a line like that.

I hope we aren't all about to undergo a summer of mass hysteria over this Arsenal thing. BR has made a statement about his future. We should all be content with that. I remember being would up remorselessly by Leeds United supporting bastards over MON going there. Turns out that he very nearly did. Who's laughing now though ya feckers?

"We won't stand in his way, but will bank the £10m compensation cheque"

DD is absolutely right to say he wouldn't stand in Rodgers way if Arsenal came looking for him. That would have been one of the rules of engagement .
Having said that, I very much doubt Arsenal will come knocking. Chelsea however.... :twitch:

You never hear him speaking out about anything and then barely a couple of hours after Wenger announces he’s going he comes out with that. He should have continued his policy of shutting the eff up.

He had a few cracking seasons, binned the boring, boring arsenal tag and apparently built the emirates with his own bare hands, but I fail to see how exactly he revolutionised English football?

It’s just a meaningless platitude that’s going to be regurgitated for the next month or two until it becomes fact.
Almost every single person in the English game has at one time commented how he changed English football for the better. With regard to fitness levels, diet and football played

It is pretty much fact

Finally, Wenger is stepping down. He should have chucked it years ago. That being said Arsenal without him to start with will be as strange as Man Utd without Fergie.

Sevconians in work seem to be very excited that Rodgers might eff off to Arsenal.

It's the most hope they've had since the last time they were convinced they were about to catch us.

It's discourteous of some so called Arsenal fans to celebrate Wenger leaving.

Plenty happened behind the scenes at that club.

Yes, he definitely should have retired some years ago and that would probably have been beneficial to him and the club.

Just a sign that fans are fickle. They look elsewhere and want that, and want it immediately. You can't have everything. He brought a breath of fresh air and new techniques, different approach. Arsenal probably have more cash than most clubs ( cash is not everything though) and an excellent stadium (probably close to being fully paid for if its not already) which is sadly let down by those very same fans and a global brand. Yet, it's full when games are on.

Indeed, more trophies would have helped and something may have recently hindered youth and scouting conveyor belt. But that cannot rest with Wenger solely.
