Surely it's the end of the merry go round that sees these same guys appointed to get clubs out of bother every season?

Carvalhal seemed like a mad appointment at the time, but look at the difference he's made at Swansea. Also, Watford never go for a "safe" pair of hands & they're fine.
Good points.

Would Pardew accept the 200 / 300 grand a year at Sevco?

Has to be. More chances have to be given to other coaches. Not enough black managers in the game as well. They don’t seem to get the same chances as the likes of Pardew.

He must be a multi-millionaire at this point anyway

I'm sure he is.

And I'm equally sure Pardew will sit on his sun lounger at his villa in La Manga, sipping his Sangria and waiting on a phone call from the next panicked club chairman in the EPL or Championship

That’ll be Pardew leaving WBA as he has had an offer from The Rangers...

His ego is probably too big to manage in scotland though

Maybe if he and King meet over a roulette table he wouldn’t need a salary.

Remember when Ashley gave him an eight-year contract at Newcastle? Insane and bizarre scenario in modern football management to be giving someone such a long-term and secure guarantee of income every month regardless of results.

I'm not sure. His record over the last couple of years is amazingly bad. I think he's won something like 7 games out of 60 in the EPL.

I don't think he'll be getting that many great offers.

He's the best example of someone who is seriously wealthy as a result of being a complete failure.

Was it him who owed Ashley a lot of money due to gambling and got the huge contract but got paid next to nothing for it to pay back his debts, or was that Steve McClaren?

Pardew is a dick, but he did decent jobs at Newcastle and palace.

Pardee would be a big improvement on the duds sevco have had in their short history, but he would be out their price range I reckon. He's also been pretty disparaging about Scottish football in the past I think
