Mourinho can talk all he wants about what he inherited and statistics but he's spent an absolute fortune in the 2 seasons he has been there and he should be taking that group of players to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The difference between BR and some of these guys down south is that Brendan was working his way up the ladder and guys like Pardew are on the way down. Pardew is the case in point: how can someone who's won a handful of EPL games over the past couple of years keep getting jobs?
Rodgers wasn’t working his way up the ladder when he got sacked after a miserable spell at Reading. Or when he was sacked by Liverpool. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely agree there are some managers who simply have too many failures on their CVs to merit getting more chances. But Mark Hughes has been a success in 4 of the last 5 seasons yet the reaction to his appointmentment would make you think they’d given the job to a serial loser.
I'd say that's fair comment. There was a very brief moment when he had Arnautovic, Bojan and Shaqiri firing, they were very entertaining and direct.

The has been Portuguese Souness is a mental thing to say.

Souness singlehandedly brought down the most successful footballing dynasty British football has ever seen & Mourinho is arguably the greatest manager the games seen in 30 years.

His record stands up against Fergusons particularly in Europe. & has been done in a fraction of the time

Goes without saying I can't abide Mourinho.

Funny. I could've sworn I posted what a thoroughly disagreeable chap I think Jose is, but the post appears to have gone missing :suspect:

Anyway, that UEFA final we had. Play up Porto, play the game :theclap:

Souness comparison maybe down to them both being arrogant odious erseholes and not down to Morinhos impressive record?

His teams are chronic to watch. Entertainment value is 0. As posted above spent a fortune and now clutching at straws for reasons why not progressing.

Doing a "Caixinha" - his players can't touch him/get near him so the manager has to try

Mourinho has won the EL, the league cup and is currently sitting second in a season where Man City have been extraordinary. Since Ferguson left he's been their most successful manager by a considerable distance.

He'll probably win the league next season or at the latest, the season after. His teams are pig ugly to watch, but he gets results eventually. Getting rid of him would be insane.

Second sitting miles behind City and the title race was over at xmas. 6th last season as well remember.

Yes his won some trophies (A very weak EL I will add) but the transfer outlay has been huge and personally I don't see Utd winning a title or a CL under Mourinho. His safety first style isn't going to get job done anymore. I think players have wised up now as well and are not down for all the Bullshampoo he likes to do. I don't see players ready to do anything for him these days like they used too.

They wont sack him, his just signed a new contract but I don't see it getting much better.
