Whenever a 'big' club goes through a bit of shampoo (say Chelsea under Mourinho 2nd time, utd under LVG) you know they are just another appointment and another obscene spend away from putting it at least partly right. The best thing about Arsenal is they won't do that :)
I don’t mind Arsenal. They’re one of the few prudent sides in that set up.

If the bubble burst tomorrow, they’d be one of the few who would survive
Their 'fans' chants are enough to get football stopped.

I can't think of a more pathetic, uninspiring support in football.

Man U fans called their old ground 'The Library' for good reason

Suppose it depends on your definition of prudent. Spending £30 million and £40 million on ordinary players like Xhaka and Mustafi has cost them a place in the Champions League and left closer to Burnley than Spurs.

All Engerlund teams are awful...structure,finance,supporters and general SKY backing to surviveitis...

Pass on the lot of them.

Ironic they think PSG destroyed football (and China) with wages and biding power for players.

Eff off to them all.

If Wenger doesn't resign/is sacked I imagine a lot of Arsenal fans will start voting with their feet. 200 million spent in the last 2 years and nothing to show for it. I know 6th place in the Premier League would be a dream for some of the clubs down there but there's not chance the Arsenal fans will tolerate that. They are at least a great manager and 3/4 top quality signings away from being close to top 4 again.

So that’s another 300 million outlay for one place higher.

They’re a lot more than 3 or 4 top players short. Whoever takes over there will want to rip up that entire squad and start again.

I agree whoever takes the job will likely want their own signings but a great manager could likely take the current crop + 3 or 4 quality players back into the top 4. Brendan done the same thing for us - under-performing team with 3 quality signings a we blew the whole of Scotland away. I agree they need more than 3 or 4 to regularly be a force again though.

Former Kilmarnock boss Lee McCulloch has been appointed assistant manager of Polish top-flight side Lechia Gdansk. Now I haven't much time for the guy but I think that's a brave move on his part to sample other countries' football and gain experience.
Brave for him to take a job handed to him by his old pal. The useless hun wink.
Punted. 7 weeks.

:loel:
7 weeks experience though.Invaluable. :chuffed:

Had a go at the FAI getting young footballers in the North to sign up to play for the Republic, and claimed that they only go for Catholics.

The reason why The Republic is a more appealing option to Catholics in the 6 Counties than it is to Protestants players is because the former know they would be welcomed there, while their Protestant counterparts wouldn’t dare risk the wrath of the huns if they wanted to. And Uncle Tim O’Neill knows that fine well.

God save the queen, not very welcome at Windsor, have a Brit passport and never feeling represented by their team.

Not hard to find reasons why kids don't want to play for the north.

Michael O'Neill has let himself down a bucketful with his comments.

Hopefully the FAI go on a raiding party now.

Rumour has it that Neil McCann is getting bagged tomorrow.

(Could be wishful thinking by Dundee fans, of course.)
