I heard Moyes was spoken to and basically offered nothing to the club, he was expecting the red carpet rolled out and was of the opinion the club should be delighted to have him.
That's not even close to being true.

Of course it's not. This is the internet.

Allardyce would do well* in European international football. All about counter attacking.

*not lose to Iceland
I actually think Allardyce is an underrated manager. He works awfully hard behind the scenes at whatever club he's at, he's got a pretty decent track record wherever he's been and he's probably got greater tactical intuition that he lets on.

His persona masks a lot. I think he'd make a decent fist of it.

Moyes was very flattered at the number of people within the club who made it crystal clear that he would be welcome. His issues were nothing to do with "expecting the red carpet", whatever that might mean. His main concern was that he would be out of top flight football, which is also why he turned down a crazy money offer from China.

possible. They are sitting 12th at the moment.

Although he obviously has his faults, I am surprised that the team sitting 12th in Norway is the best he can do.

or maybe he is so traumatised that is the height of his ambitions now.

So after all his success here, he takes a job with a team who finished 7th in Norway last season and are sitting just above the relegation zone this season :suspect:

Edit: They are actually IN the relegation zone. 15/16 in the league

Tough start for Neil Lennon with Brondby up first before the season has properly started. Hibs will be hoping they don't get another Malmo-type drubbing, 7-0 at home wasn't it in the EL qualifiers couple of years ago ?

Don't buy into his bullshampoo like I initially did.

The story from Norway is that he will be coach under the current manager Rekdal who will move to a 'Sporting Director' role.
