Credit to the SFA - they can still find new depths to plummet to.

Broonie should hand in his international retirement letter now. Hopefully a few others will follow.
I hope so. This is a joke of an appointment, and does nothing for our game. But lets continue to waste our money on Hampden and all the hangerons, and not look to start spending it on bringing in people that could actually take us forward. An embarassment :nono:

Personally think it’s a decent appointment. He done decent before and he is a good man manager. Absolutely terrible at signing players so thankfully he doesn’t need to worry about that.

Completely uninspiring unimaginative appointment! I get they were runny out of options but surely the there was a better and more forward thinking appointment....Maybe Postman Pat would have considered a career change?

McLeish was the obvious choice at this moment in time.
I'm sure he will not be the worst manager that's failed to get us to a European or world tournament..
Odds on that a sevco player will start his second game in charge..
But, I wish him success..
I hope the team get scudded in every game till the hun bastard gets his jotters. Complete (sick) joke of an appointment.

Pull every Celtic player from the squad before that grubby hun loser gets near them.

An absolute joke of an appointment by a joke of an organisation.

Ask yourself this. Which other club or national team would appoint Mcleish?

This guy couldn’t get a job for love or money yet the SFA feel his a good choice. It’s a joke!!!

I fail to believe there wasn’t a better choice. Appointing managers who haven’t managed at the top level for years is nothing but desperation.

McLeish appointment..He leaves Scotland in the lurch to join Birmingham, up to his ears in ebt with the Rankers and unemployed for 2 years. Is turned down for every managerial job he applies for and then Cardigan puts a word in for him with his mason pals at SFA and he gets the job. Why didn't they wait til new CEO is appointed?

Positive for us is he may leave a lot of the bhoys out of the team so we can continue our European run. How low can the SFA stoop. Rip it up and start again I say. Woeful appointment.

This has actually happened.

Sacked from his last umpteen jobs after doing the square root of eff all at every one of them, the last of them being some Egyptian no marks.

Oh aye, think the SFA, he's the man to take us forward.

effing shambles.

Literally appointed the joke candidate. A washed up, out-of-work never-was that no other side would trust to lay out the cones in training.

The SFA is a jobs-for-the-boys act. Tear it up and start again.

Its not only unimaginative but is likely destined to failure. Whatever one thinks of the Tartan Army, they will hate this appointment and will turn on McLeish at the first opportunity.

Also lets say a few players don't fancy turning out for a friendly international. What can McLeish say or do ? Question their loyalty to their country ?

The appointment and how we ended up with McLeish is testament to the abject way in which the game is run in this country. Within 18 months this will probably all end in tears.

I wouldn't class Zamalek as no marks. One of biggest club sides in Africa - maybe 2nd only to city rivals Al Ahly.

Would agree with everything else in your post.
