Wenger bumping his gums about diving. Didn't seem to bother him when they did it against us.

Strangely enough some chick has just started work at our place. Used to be married to Almunia.

We were chatting football and when I said I was a Celtic fan she said she was at that CL game.

I mentioned the Eduardo dive and she refused to comment as he is still a good pal of hers.

It's pretty clear NL and Clarke are best suited for the job, the two obligatory Zombies (who personally should never be considered due to past form) are par for the course. Regan has left Scottish football in one hellish state and should have been hunted years ago as he wasn't fit for purpose.

I honestly think we will end up with one of the Hun's in charge and whatever interest I have in the National team will vanish, No CEO, incompetent board, no manager and potentially moving from Hampden, what an utter clustereff.

One Hun down.
McLeish now the front runner for the Scotland job.
Ex-hun and unemployed...come on down.

I'm out Ex-Rangers boss Walter Smith doesn’t want to be considered for Scotland job – with Alex McLeish front-runner to succeed Gordon Strachan
Hampden bosses stalled on a face-to-face meeting with the Ibrox legend after an initial approach

Forget that, after phoning him they should have scattered rose petals at the old bastards feet as he walked into the Hampden Park offices.

And McCoist is getting a wee bit confused “These are the finances”. He can’t just wave EBT’s at folk

Glad to see the media's desperate attempts to get Smith the job actually failed this time.
I've no idea if the useless carrots at the SFA were considering him but it wouldn't surprise me, it would be typical of their complete lack of imagination and intelligence.

Big Feck?? Really?? If that's the best the SFA can come up with we're fecked.

I'll say it again.....would rather have kept WGS than this.

With the current SFA pantomime, the decision to get rid of WGS is looking more ridiculous by the day. The Cardigan has withdrawn, probably because he knew he couldn't hack it. He and Big Feck are yesterday's men, or maybe last century's men, and shouldn't have been anywhere near pub talk, let alone genuine consideration. The SMSM's efforts to shoehorn a hun into the job are contemptible. It would seem that the pool of potential Scottish managers for the job is on par with the the number of players who are fit to wear the jersey. Thank eff we have Celtic.

What I've been trying to say on this thread is that of the candidates in the running for the job Strachan would be better than all of them. That's not tosay a better Scotland manager than Gordon can't be found but the will doesn't seem to be there.

All this Scotland manager stuff, does anyone have any suggestions a little bit out of the box? Basically none of the usual suspects are exciting me.

Gus Hiddink? - Proven manager, and has always been up for a bit of a challenge in the past, so Scotland could be of interest to him?
Marcelo Bielsa ?
Slaven Bilic ? (fair enough his West Ham stint was pretty meh)
Harry Redknapp? Always talks well of us (and them) and despite being a bit...dodgy... i reckon his no nonsense approach would maybe suit us :-/
Luis Enrique - total long shot, but maybe a challenge to change Scotlands style of play could be interesting?
Chris Coleman? - get him the hell out of that Sunderland nonsense and see if he can work wonders with us too? (dont tell him we dont have a Bale though)

Most of the above are pretty wild suggestions, but why the hell not? Every other manager in the last 20 years has failed.

Other than Coleman I doubt we could afford the wages. On top of that I doubt any of the above touch Scotland with a barge pole.

True a lot of managers might not fancy it, but it's kinda a no-lose job. Ultimately most people expect the team to fail, but hope for it to succeed. If the manager succeeds, he is a hero, if he fails then it;s just what was expected anyway.

I'd rather we just asked some people like those. Scotland is a nice place to live, particularly on the sort of wages a Scotland manager earns

The best Scottish manager going is Steve Clarke. Is he being considered for the Scotland job?

Walter Smith's "my Scotland hell" has been driven by his chums in the media desperate to see him back in the game again. I'd be surprised if he was as disgruntled as is being made out in the press. Although his in a arrogant bastard, so who knows. It's not like he walked out of the job the last time he had it right enough.

Steve Clarke or Neil Lennon would be ideal. I also wouldn't mind John Collins getting the job.
