I would go for Stevie Clark but wouldn’t be confident he would leave Killie for the Scotland job.

Strachan is a wee carrot.

Us effing about with the new manager doesn't make him any less of a wee arsehole

He sacked himself with his Stone Age outlook and general bawbaggery. eff him and his merry band of Championship players. eff the SFA too.
Say it just like it is

Absolutely bang on about that eejit

Anyway, if the SFA had any sense (they don't) Steve Clarke would be offered the job ASAP.

Like the Have I Got News For You presenter gig - although a rotating trio of Victoria Coren, Alexander Armstrong and Martin Clunes would probably still be a better shout than whoever the SFA dredge up next

Gie it to Jim Duffy, with Derek McInnes and Jack Ross as part-time assistants. Michael O'Neil came from nowhere to get Northern Ireland to tournament who's to say JD wouldn't do the same. At least Duffy has stayed in the game over the years unlike McLeish, Davies, or others who are being mentioned.

Thanks for posting the TB programme.
Fitting contrast to the usual shambles of suspects around in Scottish football today.
Integrity, honour and passion. A man of the fans.

If Jim Duffy becomes Scotland manager I'd hope Scotland get destroyed 5-0 in every game until that bald effnugget carrotbar is removed.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
There's a growing body of evidence that would make me doubt about selecting John McGinn for an SPFL Select, nevermind Scotland. Yesterday being just the latest example of how poor he has shown he can be. There is absolutely no way he is an improvement on Bannan whatsoever.

As for McGregor, I think we can all agree that a squad place was handed to him a bit late. However it's really only merited when he is in form. When McGregor is not in form, as of late for us, he's not much use to anybody.
Both McGregor and mcGinn were on form at the time - that is the point.

I don't think McGinn should be signing for us. But the form he was showing at that point in time - he was MOTM at CP against us - meant he was a far better option than Bannan who wasn't getting a game with his club in the Championship. Both players were far better than what Strachan went for. And banner is utter dross - never seen him have a good game.
Where does this nonsense about Bannan not getting a game come from? Up until injuring his hip on 15 December, after which he has been injured ever since, he had literally started every game for Wednesday in the League this season. His absence is also seen by their fans as a key reason for their recent form taking a major dive.

He's a better player than McGinn.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see them appoint Mark McGhee, with Strachan as his assistant.

Lol, so you are still to be convinced.

TBH the SFA shenanigans down the years has led to any interest in Scotland national team waning, hence my cavalier couldn't give a real toss suggestion.

Reserve the right to change my mind and get excited again if we nearly qualify.

Let's not just blame the incompetence of the SFA, most fans wanted Strachan gone. Unlike the player threads where we are dealing with unknown quantities much of the time everyone should be fairly knowledgeable on who they think can do a job for their national side. Folk wanted Gordon gone but even the fans baying for blood knew that there was no replacement of any quality or experience to come in.

Chances are someone will be appointed, eventually, rip out the Celtic spine that was being established and you will see Championship players galore, as we have done in the past pre-Strachan.

It's funny, you're saying that was his policy and I believe he was attempting to remove us from that well sailed course. In an earlier post I wrote that we have been over reliant on poor Anglo-Scots (for decades), I think it's probable a new man will instantly pack his side full of these players and five, six, Celtic players starting will soon be but a distant memory.

What’s Neil done to deserve a crack?

Decent job at Hamilton, won the play offs in England, then got relegated.

Nah
