What an amateurish pursuit. No surprise given it is Regan and the SFA involved.

No idea why any governing body trying to recruit to a high profile position under such scrutiny opt for the approach where all eggs go in one basket. It is absolutely necessary to see more than one candidate, for a few different reasons. The main one being you don't have that look of total incompetence when that one candidate turns you down.

No doubt this means McLeish, Rae et al now.

The SFA have made a complete arse of themselves yet again, getting shot of Strachan was an atrocious decision for me at the time, it looks a lot worse now. Did the buffoons who wanted him gone not see this coming? The support to blame equally here.

They couldn't convince a guy who has never had a decent appointment, one who even lives in Scotland, to come on board.

Go back to Gordon and beg him to come back, otherwise it's a fragile looking Hatted feline monstrosity waiting in the wings.

Saw a quote in the media that said the SFA had offered O'Neill £500,000 a year while Northern Ireland were offering £700,000 a year. That's quite a difference...

Wish I’d stuck some cash on Malky Mackay now when he was 30/1 a few weeks back.

SSC are due for membership renewal at the end of the month too. Nations draw on Wednesday. 2 fixtures announced in Peru and Mexico. Here, give us all your money while we continue to floof about with no permanent manager.
Daryl Broadfoot was on Sportsound and said the hold up was about paying off his notice period and was more or less saying they didn't want to pay when there weren't any competitive games until next year. Real foresight, there.

Think that's good news for Scotland fans. Hopefully they aim a bit higher.
I don’t see how being unable to attract Michael O’Neill could ever be viewed as a good thing

It’s utterly embarrassing. Can’t even hazard a guess as to where they go next.

O'Neill probably took one look at that upcoming list of friendlies, especially the May jaunt to Peru and Mexico with what will amount to a B team and thought, eff that.

The SFA are lucky he didn't give them the kb as the winter shutdown began. The papers are going to have a field day as it is.

Regan has to go now, and if he can take that clown Doncaster with him, all the better.
