Now that Everton have set the bar with Koeman, where does Moyes go from here?

I can't see it being Southampton.
Who cares is the likely answer

Shirley I can't be the only one who thinks Koeman is making a big mistake moving to Everton?
Possibly. On the face of it he is taking a step down but I think for managers the biggest decision is often when to leave a club. He has probably taken Southampton as far as possible (ok I know Leicester have shown there is no ceiling but I think that will definitely be a one off) jumping ship when you have done well and taking over a struggling side with potential could be a good career move. If he gets Everton into the European places off the back of his achievements at Southampton he could realistically be in line for a top job staying at Southampton he'd be running to stand still.

Closer to home I'm sure Lenny wishes he had left Bolton at the end of his first season. He did well to keep them up and his reputation took a nosedive after that.

Ditto someone who has perhaps done well to take a struggling Scottish lower league club into the top division may realise that now is the time to move back down south rather than risk his reputation in the top flight...

Everton ... A step down from Southhampton? No chance . Southampton are a better team at the minute , but Everton are a far bigger club than Southampton , and definitely a step up ( in my humble opinion)

I agree. By 'on the face of it' I meant in terms of current league position and squads.

Unai Emery has left Seville so surely he'll be in the running for the vacant Southampton job? I'd think he'd be a good fit for them.
going to PSG it seems
QSG wants Simeone or Emery. The talks with the latter, but QSG are still trying to sign Simeone. Allegedly.

I'm genuinely interested in knowing why Everton are a far bigger club than Southampton ?

everton have a bigger ground and i'd imagine bigger number of st holders
despite coming from a city with 2 big clubs.

they have a wider global awareness and have won a european trophy.
and i may be wrong but i'm taking an educated guess that they have won
more titles in england.

imo everton are a bigger club than southampton and a good manager
away from getting back into the top 4 regularly.

Presumably we're mainly talking about history here - Everton have won a lot more in their history than Southampton have, indeed more than they probably ever will. Bigger stadium and overall support too I'm sure.

Sure Simeone just signed a new deal with Athletico. Or pedged his future. One or the two

History, fan base, potential and just generally their overall standing in the game.

Southampton are a far better team.

I think improving everton might be an easier task at the moment bobby. I just think he had taken Southampton as far as he could.

QSG think they can sign Ronaldo too. They don't think there is something impossible for their money.

I doubt they'll manage to get Simeone, but they're trying, and that's probably nothing about Emery has been announced yet. QSG fans in French medias talk a lot about Emery to prepare fans for the Plan B.

They have only finished in the top 4 once in the last 17 years mate, no way they will start doing that regularly under any manager.

Genuinely did not know you could make a verb out of that.

According to the bookies, Eddie Howe and Frank de Boer are the favorites for the Southampton job.

CBF have announced that Rogerio Micale will be manager of Brazil for the Olympics. Seems like Corinthians are making things difficult for them to poach Tite. Still think Tite will get it as he said he liked what he heard during his meeting with CBF.

And now Corinthians have announced Tite is leaving to manage Brazil.
