It's that attitude that will let them back in, if anything will.
Their superiority complex killed them & continues to hold them back.
Our ‘superiority complex’ is fully justified. We’re fine as long as we don’t become complacent.
A 'superiority complex' is never justified. Circumstances can change very quickly.

Can't see it.

Coming to Scotland and winning hee haw isn't going to be a CV highlight for any decent calibre manager.
Yup. We also had to push the boat out for Rodgers.

The hun canny do that.
No need. They just sacked their manager.

I'd be amazed if it was mcinnes, milne wont let him go cheap and he is already perceived as a failure by a lot of the hun support.

Given the fore-luck tugging deference that der hun show to anything English, who they bizarrely as view as being, by default, "bear friendly".

I think they will get someone like Neil Warnock or another plodding journeyman who would not be put off at all by being among a blaze of poppies and UJ's to a soundtrack of the Dambusters march.

The appointment will be as much about who they can sell, as what they bring in terms of football knowledge or track record.

I don't think they will appoint anyone this calendar year. Too much going on regards player revolts, boardroom splits and the Takeover panel decision from the courts. There's also the accounts to come soon and BDOs 6 monthly report which may contain bad news for certain members of the sevco board.

Murty (/Miller dream team) will have to ride it out until they can come up with a reasonably good appointment in the new year before the annual hipdip season ticket scam arrives.

Seems unlikely but not impossible. I mean, where is there realistically for Moyes to go after his disastrous Sunderland spell? He seemed to indicate he’d prefer a club job to international football. He’s burned his bridges in the EPL and even the better Championship teams probably consider him damaged goods. Moyes may well be arrogant enough to think that because Rodgers has had his career reinvigorated by coming to Scotland, the same could happen to him.

McInnes has played BR’s Celtic team 7 times and lost the lot. He has better players at Aberdeen too.
Point being that if (and I know it's a big IF) they get their house in order then they should have a budget that would allow McInnes to buy better and so make more of a challenge, not only in Scotland but Europe as well.
I'm not meaning that he would win a European trophy but only that they may qualify for the Europa league group stages and so make some more income.

It would be a step in the right direction for them and as someone else said, weaken their rivals significantly.

Therefore I hope they go for Kenny Miller
If your auntie had bollocks...

Getting their house in order is a few years off, and that's if they do it sensibly. Which they won't. McInnes has by far the second best squad in Scotland, and what has he done with it? Tommy Wright has a better record against us.

that is total bollox, but hilarious none the less. Moyes turned Celtic down once, and had the opportunity a second time, but wouldn't answer his phone. He said then that a move to Celtic would damage his career prospects. That he ended up at Sunderland is Karma working overtime.
I appreciate things have changed, but there is far more chance of Moyes taking the Scotland job than there is of him going anywhere near Sevco.
I think McInnes is probaly favourite, but I won't be surprised in the slightest to see this go to an unemployed ex hun, so McLeish/Rae/Brown/ Davies/Ferguson/Miller lottery type thing. Basically whoever is looking for the least money out of that lot.

Genuinely think it'll be McInnes.

He's had 18 months bring talked up as The Second Coming, and he's a Hun so the hordes will lap it up and it props up their season book sales. McInnes won't get offered anything decent in England (Sunderland FFS) and the Huns job will probably double or triple his salary.

Their bar for success is sufficiently lowered that even a second rate, rat faced fud like McInnes could be judged a success on relatively incremental improvements and despite the need to pay compo, their board can't afford not to.
I think it’s probably time for McInnes to leave Aberdeen. He’s done a very solid job there and finished second in every domestic competition last season. But the penny seems to have dropped for him that he can’t take them any further and his post-match comments on Wednesday had an air of resignation to them. There are plenty of good reasons why a move to Sevco would be bonkers for him. However, he might just feel it’s now or never and fancy a different challenge.
They're a complete basket case of a club- no direction from the board, money wise in constant trouble, players that are largely worthless. If he goes there he'll be lucky to do as well as he did at Aberdeen where he had a core of competent players (for SPFL football) and a degree of stability.
The fact alone that they will expect success at least in the cups and some European participation beyond getting booted out by the likes of Niederkorn will ensure he'll just be the next failure at Ibrox. Maybe it would be good fun, given his endless rants over the last few years :ponder:

Aye but we will spend money we do not have.

We will get it from some where or some carrot.

Jim Traynor will release wee brain farts to his local pals and tell our hoardes that we are going for broke to get the right boss in & sign hunners a players....again.

We will spend again everyones season book money and we will tell everyone the Rainjurs are coming.

Warbiola, Brother Pedro and a person...

From the rumours of Moyes ego it wouldn't surprise me. Also the rags would run with rangers get the man who turned down Celtic headlines. Actually doesn't sound that ridiculous. Can't imagine them being able to afford him though.

The story was that he patched a call from us after talks and wasn't phoned back. Wasn't a shootout between him and BR as far as I've read on here.

Moyes - he’s certainly damaged goods but, just like Sevco in Scotland, everyone in England knows Sunderland are a basket case and so his reputation is less tarnished than you might think. I mean they were seriously considering fat sally! He will (and does) think he’ll get a decent gig in England sooner rather than later.
McInnes - he’ll know that Sevco are a basket case and he’d be on a hiding to nothing. Unless he won the title (highly unlikely) his stock would not rise one iota outwith Scotland so where would his long-term future go? And if he didn’t win the title within 3 years, he’d be sacked.

The sevco board will know they need to shift tickets next year so their best bet will be to get someone in now who will steady the ship and show some improvement. I think it’ll be Eck to end of season and, if he does a decent enough job, he’ll get it longer.
