Surely if they were considering Miller for the job they’d have made him caretaker and watched how he gets on for a few weeks? The fact Murty’s been called back into action would suggest he’s the only potential internal candidate.

So essentially they need to get someone on who can compete with BR

They need to pull an appointment out the bag like we did with BR

A genuinely top manager to be able to get greater than the some of all the copses parts

They'll also need to give him money to sign a Scott Sinclair type of player and the know how to make a Dembele type signing - who can unlock the talent like an Armstrong and reinvigorate a Scott brown type

Wait, that's no happening, they're Phukked

They’ve spunked loads of dough on their last managers. This wee set back could cost them millions.

The thing is, it wouldn’t be that difficult for them to find someone who could improve things and make steady progress. But their mentality will dictate that whoever gets the job will be expected to firefight from the word go and compete with us, which obviously can’t happen given current circumstances.

I just couldn't get my head around the appointment at all. So out of left field. Even Deila made more sense.

Think they'll go back to 'Real Rangers Men' to manage the team, and got a feeling that wee Rat Face will be part of the coaching staff.

It will just make it that much more enjoyable when we pump them rotten.

Exactly.

In an ideal world (for them that is, obviously ion our ideal world they'd never have been resurrected in the first place) they'd bring in a competent manager who's first press conference would be along the lines of "forget about Celtic - they're miles ahead and we're not catching up with them any time soon. My job is to make sure we consistently beat and finish well ahead of Aberdeen and anyone in the league that fancies their chance of being best of the rest....once we've achieved that and are finishing well ahead of the chasing pack every season we'll start to worry about catching Celtic"

Of course that would have ra peepul in a rage and calling for his head before a ball is kicked, so it's not an option for them....so they'll just end up spunking another load of money they don't have on signings that sound like they could be hidden gems and even flatter to deceive when under no pressure...but in reality aren't going to perform anywhere near consistently enough to get them clear of the pack.

Another round of comedy gold.....hopefully they ratchet up the debt again in an attempt to look as if they're building a squad to challenge us

If countries like Italy, Germany and France can appoint young managers then I don't see why we can't.
It seems all Scotland has to choose from is a list of washed up, had their time guys ready for the scrap heap.
By the way, I don't have the answer.
Bookies are listing Moyes as clear favourite
What would Davie Moyes find appealing about working for the skint SEVCO and the tax dodging shady characters who run it. Furthermore, how would he feel standing trackside listening to the full roar of the Billy Boys ringing in his ears. Afraid, I would think!

Its bound to be an unemployed idiot who ticks all the right sectarian boxes. They,ve tried the clown, now for a further dip into the travelling circus of badge kissers and arse lickers. Any odds on Nacho Novo yet?

Quoting limited to 3 levels deepIt can't be nice being called murderers for 90 minutes
Not great times to be a blue or red at the minute. Don't worry, our day (and yours, sadly) will come!
Lol ...I’m not a red mate.
Deepest apologies mate. You seemed okay in fairness, not Kopite-like at all!

Gone much too soon.

It's funny to think many on hear were worried that Sevco were signing more players than us :)

It normally takes south young American signings a season to settle. Bringing so many in with such short term management was clearly the wrong thing to do. I wonder if he thought he could get them playing this season or was he told that he would have two seasons to get it right?

Two pages of the manager thread on RM - names mentioned include Michael Laudrup, Rafa Benitez (!), Guus Hiddink and...Jimmy Calderwood.

They can mention Allardyce, Moyes etc all they want but in reality they all know it’s going to be some complete failure who won’t want a transfer budget worth speaking off. McLeish must be top of the list but from bin bag to barry(8) nothing would surprise me.
Their “board” is stuck between being skint and a support threatening not to renew season tickets. Wouldn’t be surprised if there was serious trouble at director level before they even appoint a new manager.
