What about Koeman to sevco? Would he be that stupid?
They could bring out an orange strip. It just makes sense.
Sell Rangers branded clogs.
A windmill outside Ibrox. Charge kids £2 to be tied to the rotors.
Turn Edmiston House into a brothel, with red and blue lights. Good cash for the club.
Edmiston House...?. There's already a first 11 prostituting themselves on the pitch!

Eh?
Yer man is an Everton supporter first and foremost.

It hurts that we (Celtic, his second club through political and family reasons) appointed a manager who managed his great rivals just a few short years ago. Although he accepts that Rodgers is doing a great job.

Everton won't be appointing Benítez or Rodgers. How would we feel if Smith, or some other successful* ex-hun boss came to manage us?

*We know Smith financially doped, but you get the point.

Lads, I won't add too much to the debate about the Everton manager's post as I have suffered the various duds we have been presented with in my time, following on from Harry Catterick. This is not the forum to pontificate about likely successors to Koeman but I will say that if you think that we are interested in the Fat Spanish Waiter or your mate with the teeth you are wrong. I acknowledge that Rodgers is doing a fine job at Celtic, but it still hurts that my other club (family, political reasons) saw fit to appoint him. Everton FC will not appoint either of those two, just like you would not really consider John Greig ffor a post at Paradise. Or would you?
Eh?
You don't want Huns, we don't want Kopites. Simple really.

Sorry pal. The Fat Spanish Waiter is Benitez and the lad with the teeth is Rodgers. Evertonians are less than charitable about both of these characters but I have to cut Brendan a bit of slack of late due to my Celtic leanings. It's a hazard of supporting two teams, both of which I have loved from the 60s onwards.

If you love Celtic as much as Everton, surely you can see past Brendan's past and embrace him as Celtic manager?

Certainly enough to afford him more respect than, "the lad with the teeth".

Salah is a terrific player and already looks a brilliant signing.

Pressure is on Liverpools forward line, looks like they need to score a minimum of 3 goals a game to bail out their rotten defence
Agree with adammce and yourself. They also need a proper no.9.Sturridge is not reliable.
Think you're being unfair on Lovren. He's been a decent player everywhere apart from Liverpool. Mainly due to the fact both Can and Henderson have the same weakness of wandering around the place and lack of positional sense leaving the centre backs horribly exposed given how the wing backs are being asked to play. Maybe Keita will solve that, I dont know, but not addressing this is Klopps fault not Lovren or Matips.

Yes Lovren makes mistakes and yes VVD is an upgrade but that doesn't excuse Klopp. If you want wing backs you need someone helping out from the middle of the park. Look at Spurs doing it effectively with Wanyama or Chelsea with Kante/Bakayoko.

A GK and a holding mid beside Can would go a long way to helping the constant leaking of stupid goals. Maybe a number 9 too although I personally like Firmino when he has fast AMs that can get goals plying around him as he brings them into play very well.

That would be my love for Everton that comes through mate. I would never say a bad word about Celtic. I remember a lot of ambivalence regarding Kenny Miller when he came to Celtic. You obviously cheered when he scored, but you cheered la bit more when it was one of our own that scored, say Charlie Nicholas. I love Celtic and I love Everton. It doesn't mean that I have to deify all of their employees.

Brendan Rogers is doing a great job, there's no doubt about that. As I said in another reply, I do not deify the team that I follow's employees blindly. As an example, I can't stand Duncan Ferguson. Not because of his Rangers (they were Rangers then) past but because he played football like a thug. I couldn't stand Suarez across the park, not just because he was a red, but because he was a cheat. I support Everton and Celtic. The staff will come and go...

I'm sure they weren't, but my point stands. I haven't slated Rogers and never will. I just made a reference to him in a way that a lot of Evertonians do. No offence to any Celt intended.

Fair enough. Just making the point that Kenny Miller scored important goals for Celtic against Rangers (deceased), Benfica (X2 in the Champions League), F.C. Copenhagen and Aberdeen. And I can assure you those goals were celebrated just as loudly as they would have been had they been scored by a Celtic fanatic.

I accept that pal. Would you like to see Walter Smith or Ally McCoist in charge at Celtic? Even if they won you the European Cup I suspect you'd still rather have won it under Martin O'Neill or Tommy Burns. Anyhow, getting back to the point, Everton are stuffed at the moment but we don't want a rednose to take over. Simple really

not really an accurate comparison, is it? Brendan Rodgers is one of the finest managers in the country and will move to a significantly better club than Everton when the time inevitably comes. Perhaps recognising that this is a Celtic Forum and keeping your hilarious scouse patter for your other forums would stand you in better stead around here.

Smith and McCoist

I don't like quite a few players that have signed for Celtic, and most of them would be "tims". What's your point?
