Anyone really surprised the Shakespeare appointment didn't work? Was silly to give him the job in the first place, he was just in the right place at the right time after he screwed over Ranieri.

Being the players best friend doesn't work when you are the boss.

He was given a 3 year deal. That's just silly.

Craig Shakespeare sacked by Leicester it seems. Not sure I have much sympathy.
Real shame.

The sooner the Epl is shot of that joke of a club the sooner the rest of us can get on with it.

How they make Rugby Park look less of an empty echo chamber is anybody's guess though.
When they ditched McCulloch, I spoke with a Killie supporting mate at work and he, like a few of their fans, think the 18k capacity hinders them as the atmosphere is poor. They are never going to fill it, particularly for games against most Scottish clubs. Their average attendance historically is low.

On topic, Clarke is a high profile appointment and an opportunity for him to show that he can manage as well as coaching. Killie should be looking to develop and sell on young talent, all Scottish clubs need to do this, but because of their limited revenue, they also need to make use of the loan system (like Lee Clarke did). What Clarke will bring above most managers, is a good network of contacts across the British game. Personally I couldn't care less for Killie but if it helps raise the profile of the game, makes the league more competitive, then we will benefit as will Scottish football in general. So the appointment is a good thing.

We'll probably end up with Nigel Pearson back. He's currently doing Ok at OH Leuven, Leicester's sibling club in Belgium.

It could be worse - if a Scottish manager got the gig our relegation would be guaranteed.

With regards to Leicester I only have his to say- Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once.

It’s really got eff all to do with anything but I just wanted to lob a quote in.

Doesn't matter who your manager is mate, unless your underperforming players get their finger out relegation will come sooner than later.

That's the worst attempt at trolling I've seen in a long time.

If you get relegated it'll be because you're no bigger or better than the myriad other wee clubs who are in that soulless league.

Just seen the Paddy Power odds for the Leicester job. Mancini is favourite at 7/1. Weirdly Mark Warburton is 33/1 whilst Neil Lennon is 35/1. You'd think the odds on someone like Lennon, who is a Leicester club legend as well as a man with a solid track record, would be better than a noted failure.

He has the opposite of a solid record in English football, though.

Rightly or not, Lennon didn't get a look-in at the Leicester job when Pearson was sacked, and that was before the silly decision to take the Bolton job; he certainty won't be considered now. No one in the EPL will care or even take notice of how well he does with Hibs.

Sure Big Sam isn't allowed to take a job in England for a year or he has to pay back his bonus Palace paid him.

Mancini would be a nightmare. All he does is upset players.

If Lennon never went to Bolton he would be in a better position.

Even Sir Alex Ferguson? Surely just an indicator of how far the club has fallen. And will continue to fall.
