Can only hope his combative nature doesn't provoke too much confrontation from the stands at CP when he visits.

There is a pattern here ...

January 2010: I'm steaming in Tennents, meet Lennon, demand he come to New York for a charity event involving all the area CSCs. A couple of months later, Lennon takes over for Mowbray.

April 2016: steaming in Tennents, meet Lennon, demand he come to New York for a charity event etc. Month later, he's got another job.

I think I may be spurring him on to excellence now that I come to think of it. I'll plan a 2022 trip to help him along to his next job. You're welcome, Mr. Lennon

Great appointment for Hibs. Lenny will do well there. He was hard done by at Bolton. He probably should have left after keeping them up in the first season.

Hibs will get promoted next year.

A good appointment for Hibs. Hopefully Lennon gets his career back on track too.

Probably.

Dundee Utd aren't likely to get their house in order in time to mount a serious challenge for the automatic promotion spot. So it looks like Falkirk are his only serious competition and (according to a couple of their fans I was talking to) they've hit the glass ceiling for a club of their resources and aren't likely to get any stronger than they were this year.

So assuming he holds on to the bulk of their squad and makes a couple of sensible loan additions (he'll probably be on the phone to us immediately to see who's available) he should be good to bring them up.

It'll be interesting to see his attitude to us if/when he does bring them up.....will it be respectful at all times, or will he end up whinging in the media about how they never get a decision at Celtic Park similar to some of our other ex-players who end up managing other Scottish clubs.

Good luck to him indeed

I can see Stokes moving there permanently now
for what money? Hibs hasn't spend any money on transfer fee's in the last two season and only 232.000 euro's on their only transfer in the last 5 season

Lennon to Hibs is probably equivalent of Rodgers to us. He needs to be successful there for the sake of his reputation, so I'm presuming that he has had assurances with regards of budget and of investment. Wish him every success.

This is perfect for Lennon, Hibs are the second best option behind us in Scotland, he'll have a chance to be a genuine success right away and will also have the potential for that big rivalry with Hearts too, I can definitely see why this would interest him.

I'm buzzing for next Season already.
He'll need a body guard at Tynecastle.

Best of luck to Neil. Having read a bit of what the Hibs fans have to say, though, I think he'll need a good start. I think they're lukewarm at his appointment at best, even if he is far better than any other candidate they have a hope of getting.
Who were they expecting??
Some actually wanted Stuart McCall, but most are now on board with Lenny.

Hope he does well, can see him trying to use the loan system to help him as much as he can. (Not sure how many are allowed)

Stokes won't go back permanently, could tell after the SC final he was going elsewhere.
