Good to see Lennon back. Hibs are a biggish club, would love to see them up and in top 6 next year.

Also has the Europa League to work with, albeit very early.

Great appointment for Hibs. Hopefully they can get Parker signed up today too. They know the players and markets Hibs should be buying in and Hibs should trust their judgement on players.

Hope to see them back in the big league next year (with DU up through the play offs) and the two best away days are back.

Best of luck to Neil. Having read a bit of what the Hibs fans have to say, though, I think he'll need a good start. I think they're lukewarm at his appointment at best, even if he is far better than any other candidate they have a hope of getting.
Not sure they are, actually. There is the odd dissenting voice, but most seemed delighted at the prospect on the page I've read when it was rumoured, and plenty more now its been confirmed.
I agree. The Hibs fans I know are happy.

I'd love to know who else they were expecting!
Exactly. Lennon's won as much in the space of a week as they have in 75 years.

He's probably too Irish for some of them.

Lenny will know how to set them up in Europe as anyone they come up against will likely be expected to beat them - much like us playing Barca, Milan etc.

Would be great if he got them to group stages (doubtful though), and it'd be a massive, further, kick in the baws to the huns too.

That's a very good appointment for Hibs. They'll romp that league this year. Good luck to Neil.

Took the wrong job in England, now he's at Hibs. Gutted to see him at that level but he'll do well.

Not only am I delighted for him, but I'm loving that it's one right up the backsides of the moronic Hibs fans that I came across living and working in Edinburgh. The "Don't you think he brings it on himself?" idiots who's venimous bile I had to listen to for years.

I could say that it was worse than anything I heard from the huns or the minis, but I suspect their hatred was more of a "given"

He's actually in a lose-lose situation with this. They're expected to win the league and will now half expect a decent cup run. When was the last time the defending holders of the cup were knocked out in the 3rd round?

I forgot they were in the Europa League this year. It's surely not their priority but it'd be good to see them being competitive in the qualifiers at least. Some of the teams that make it into the group stages are crap (see Scotland's sole participants last year for example :( ) so it's not impossible for them to qualify.

Much as I need to hold my nose whilst saying it, I'd also like to see Aberdeen and Hearts make it into the EL groups. It really shouldn't be beyond the means of clubs of their size, and obviously anything they can do to help the national coefficient benefits us a bit as well, and we'll need all the help we can get once our last decent European season drops off our own rating.

OT: Quite a coup for Hibs to be honest and it suits both parties. All the best, Neil. (Unless we get you in a cup :arrr: )
