souness - would be entertaining
mackay - no just no
lambert - no
davies - no
feck no
elbows hughes jim duffy no no no

lennon  and if he takes a pethun alongside him i reckon he could get it - i know if he wanted it
You don't seriously think Lenny would even want his name on that list, Shirley? The Hibbys now love him and he's wearing the green - he'd swap that to be the public face of a national association which looked the other way during the 11 years he was demonised and persecuted as a Celtic man? By the very Hootsmons he'd be relying on for support? Feck 'em, feck 'em all! :nono:
Lennon would be an excellent manager for Scotland, but you're right, he would never be interested.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Most of them have been weirdos though
 Venglos wasnt. Neither was Vogts or Le Guen. Skovdahl cracked his "stats are like miniskirts" line, and that was it. Most of the rest just show a bit of personality, which is amusing at first because we're used to the same boring arsehole managers,, and it then gets held against them when McLeish, Smith, Etc are out of work.
Wim wasn't either, but it didn't stop the press introducing him as "the second worse thing to hit Hiroshima" (a disgraceful statement and disrespectful on a number of levels). His curly hair and Dutch accent were hilarious as well.

"Gutter press" is a very apt phrase.

I'd go for a Ranieri type. Someone who is tactically aware.

He was a resounding success with Greece.

Lennon would be fantastic (and it would wind up all the right people), but it won't happen.

If the foreign managers get results nobody cares (unless he happens to be the Celtic coach).

1. Bring in an Allardyce-type who'll focus purely on the team, while behind the scenes the organisation gets the game sorted.
2. Bring in a Wenger-type who'll rebuild the whole organisation.
3. Bring in Moyes or Lambert, who'll carry on in the WGS tradition.
4. Bring in Malky Mackay.

Hmmmm...
5. Bring in Billy Davies. Billy Davies would work well in any team. Billy Davies deserves to have a go.

Neil Warnock.

Everyone would hate him at first, but I reckon he would be success.

He understands what being the underdog is like and has multiple promotion under his belt.

He gave me a nod of approval once when I walked past him wearing a Celtic shirt so he isn’t a total carrot.

We have a year before the next competitive game. There's no rush. I'd be tempted to hang on for West Ham to sack Bilic. Not sure he'd want it right enough.

As for Strachan, I take no joy in saying thank eff he's gone.

I just hope the SFA in their "wisdom" don't roll out the same old tired candidates i.e. Mackay, Moyes, Lambert or, heaven forbid, McCoist with the cardigan in some sort of supervisory roll :o I would be happy if they appointed either Alex Neil, Michael O'Neil, Tommy Wright or push the boat out and hire the Iceland manager :)

McInnnes has a wee pop about Shinnie not being picked which is fair enough given some of the keech Strachan has picked in his time - He then says Shinnie is the best back in the country!!!!

Right you are Derek.
